Lesson 22　I Like My Neighbourhood

2.了解介绍街区情况的表达法。

3.了解一些介绍街区的句式。

1.掌握一些与介绍街区有关的词汇：have,block,take,shop,buy

2.激发学生兴趣,让学生学会介绍自己所在街区的情况。

掌握以下重点句子：

①It’s only three blocks from my house.

②It’s quiet there,and the chairs are very comfortable.

③Sometimes I sit for the whole afternoon and do my homework.

④It costs $3.50!

Step 1　Lead－in

Lead in by discussing the following questions：

How many buildings are there in your neighbourhood？

What is your favourite？Why？

Discuss in groups for three minutes.Then let some students present their answers in front of the class.

Step 2　Listening

Listen to the tape and know about the main points of the passage.At the same time,fill in the blanks with the words you hear.

Finish the task in class in oral.

Step 3　Reading

Read the passage and answer the following questions：

Step 4　Practice

Ask the students to write a short passage to introduce his or her neighbourhood.

Work in groups to finish the task.After a while,let some groups present their passages in front of the class.

When the students are preparing,the teacher walks around the classroom to solve the problems that probably happen.

Step 5　Come to “Let’s Do It！”

Read the lesson and finish Exercise 1 together.Listen to the tape and finish off Exercise 2 together.
