Unit 8 Culture Shapes Us Lesson 48 Supper with the Bradshaws 知识目标单词chalk,tradition,reaction,officer,gun,maybe词组be ready for,at the end of,keep up,dream of,be busy with句型Are you ready for Christmas?My parents invited them to our home for dinner.I don’t know what we’ll do with them.I am so busy with Christmas these days.技能目标能听懂本课时的听力材料,能说出本课时的重要句型,能运用句式用英语谈论学习方法掌握文中重点短语和句型。掌握文中单词chalk,tradition,reaction,officer,gun,maybe,并能熟练记忆。Step 1:Warming upT:Hello boys and girls!Glad to see you.Ss:Good to see you,too!T:How do you react when you receive gift you don’t like?Ss:I will receive it as well.T:Oh.Does anybody has some better ways?SS:I can tell him by writing a letter.T:OK,good.Now,you can read the letter carefully.Let’s see how Danny does.设计意图:新课开始,教师通过设计几个学生感兴趣的问题导入新课,能调动他们的学习积极性。Step 2:Prelistening1.Listen to the whole passage carefully and do Exercise 1 on Page 125.2.Teach phrases and practice the sentence pattern.(1)教师给学生创设过节的情景,然后教师出示亲朋好友之间互送礼物的图片,导入词汇、短语、句型的学习。在这个环节,学生学习单词chalk,tradition,reaction,officer,gun,maybe,短语be ready for,at the end of,keep up,dream of等。老师带着学生学习课文中的重要词组,然后利用词组组成新的句子,同学之间进行操练。完成课本125页练习2。(2)Make sentences using the given information.设计意图:此环节通过师生间的对话,引入词——短语——句型操练,学习过程从词到句,从句子到对话,通过教师领读,师生对话学习单词,词组与句型。不知不觉就掌握了重要单词和短语,教学遵循从浅到深,从易到难,层层递进。尊重语言学习的规律,也符合学生的认知规律。Step 3:The forms of letters1.Teacher ask the students what are the important points of writing a letter.Give them 5 minutes to think about.And then ask the students to point out the emphasis.2.Teacher check the answers,correct the mistake and make some complement.3.Teacher give them a title,and ask them to write a letter according to what they learned in this class.4.The students share their works with each other.设计意图:此环节通过学生自己总结,得出结论,然后由老师来纠正和补充。使学生对书信格式记忆更加牢固。学生自己写信,同学之间互相分享各自的文章。在不知不觉中掌握写信的规律和格式,遵循从浅到深,从易到难,层层递进。尊重语言学习的规律。Step 4:Do Exercise 3 on Page 125.The match was really fantastic,________ when Jack scored in the last minute.
