一、创设情境,切入主题
Step 1:Warming up
T:How do you communicate with a new friend?
Ss:Er,in a friendly way.I usually talk about weather or sports,and I smile a lot.
T:Then I’m sure you know how to communicate with others.In your opinion,what are the best ways to communicate?
Ss:Maybe it’s to be a good listener?
T:Yes,to be a good listener is a way to communicate,but there are still lots of other things we must pay our attention to.We will learn these things in Lesson 50.Now please open our text book.
二、展开过程,探究新知
Step 2:Presentation
1.Teacher shows the turntable with the words:interpersonal,passport,proper,listener,contact,promise and ask students guess what’s the meaning of these words and then teaches them.
Make sentences with the words and explain the meanings.
2.Give the students five minutes to remember the words.And then the teacher turn the turntable around,let students spell and read them one by one.After that,give the students a dictation to check whether they have remembered the words.
3.Open the books to Page 132,listen and read.(Listen to the tape and pay attention to the words’ pronunciation)Then ask some students to stand up and read the words,the others pick out the mistakes.
4.The students read the text by themselves,and try to find out the main phrases and sentences in the text.

Do Exercise 3 on Page 133.
