    Teaching Prcedures
    STEP 1 Talking abut the fur characters
    Say ‘We have learned abut fur new friends in the text. They are Betty, Max, May and Kate. Wh wuld yu like t have as yu friends? Why? Can yu intrduce them t us?’
    Get the students t talk abut the fur characters. Invite them t talk abut their appearance, persnality and ability.
    As students are talking abut them, write dwn sme wrds and expressin n bard. (In this way, students can g ver the mst imprtant parts f the unit.)
    STEP 2 Cmpleting the fllwing passage
    Get the students t help Simn cmplete the fllwing passage.

    STEP 4 Cmpleting the passage
    Tell the students that Simn is talking abut his gd friend Tnny and Jack. Get students t help Simn cmplete the passage with cmparatives, superlatives r ‘(nt) as … as’.
    STEP 5 Cmpleting the exercises
    Get the students t cmplete the exercise n Part A, Page 21. Check the answers and then get the students t read the sentences alud.
    STEP 6 Cmpleting the exercises
    Get the students t cmplete the exercises in Part B, Page 21. Check the answers and then get the students t read the passage alud.
    STEP 7 Hmewrk
    G ver the whle unit and get ready fr the cming test.
    Try t intrduce yur best friends t yur parents in English.
    Finish ff the exercises in the Evaluatin Handbk and Learning English.
    They are my gd friends, Tnny and Jack. Jack is a little taller (tall) than Tnny. Jack is very helpful and clever. Tnny is as helpful (helpful) as Jack, but he isn’t as clever as (clever) Jack. Tnny isn’t funny at all. They bth like sprts. Tnny likes swimming better than (well) basketball. But Jack thinks basketball is the mst interesting (interesting) game. He thinks that swimming isn’t as exciting as(exciting) basketball.
