    T distinguish the different parts f a sentence.
    T use the basic sentence elements t make up a sentence.
    Teaching prcedures
    Step 1 Presenting.
    I will say, “Everyne has a bdy. We have all parts we need, s we are healthy. In the same way, a sentence must have sme parts. Then it can be a cmplete sentence. It can express certain meaning. This perid, we will learn different parts f a sentence. I will write dwn a sentence n the blackbard, e.g. ‘The by under the tree likes t play ftball after schl very much.’ Then I will ask students t shrten the abve sentence t give the main idea f it, e.g. ‘The by likes t play ftball.’ I will explain t students that a sentence can be divided int different parts. We can add r remve the different parts f a sentence t clarity the meaning f it.”
    Step 2 Practicing
    1. Ask students t read the sample sentences n Page 11. Tell students that each sentence part has its wn name and tell them the names f different parts f a sentence. Explain t students that the basic parts f a sentence are the subject and the predicate. T make a sentence richer in meaning, we can add predicative, bjects, attributives and adverbials t the sentence with additinal infrmatin.
    2. Ask students t finish Part C1 n Page 12 using the table n Page 11 as a guide.
    Check the answer. (1. a 2. a 3. a 4. c 5. b 6. a 7. c 8. c)
    3. Ask students t find a sentence frm their English bk, then ask them t identify the different Parts f the sentence.
    4. Ask students t cmplete the sentences in Part C2 n Page 13, and chse the crrect sentence element in brackets. Check the answer. (1. the ftball, direct bject 2. fr hurs, adverbial 3. Andy, subject 4. is packing her schl bag, predicate 5. hungry, predicative
    6. hard – wrking, attributive)
