Teaching prcedures
Step 1 Warming - up
I will help students review the sentence pattern: ”It is + adj + ‘fr ’… + ‘ (nt) t - infinitive”. I will ask students sme questins t practice this sentence pattern. Fr example :”Is it necessary t learn English?” Help students answer :”It’s necessary fr us t learn English.” Write dwn the sentence pattern n the blackbard. (Practice mre sentences)
Step 2 Presenting.
I will say, “If Sandy helps yu with yur hmewrk, what d yu think f Sandy? ” (He is kind.) S yu can say, “It’s kind f Sandy t help me with my hmewrk.” Then I will ask students t read the tw sample sentences n Page 9 and write dwn the sentence pattern “It’s + adj + f sb + t d sth”. Then I will ask students t say the difference between ‘fr’ and ‘f’ in these tw sentence patterns.
Step 3 Practicing
1. Make new sentences with these tw sentence patterns.
① 你这么做太自私了。 It’s selfish f yu t d s.
② 你这么做没必要。 It’s nt necessary fr yu t d s.
③ 学习游泳对我来说很难,你教我学真是太好了。 It’s hard fr me t learn hw t swim. It’s kind f yu t teach me hw t d it.
2. I will say, “We knw different peple have different characteristics, s they d different things. Nw, let see what ur friends at a birthday party.” Ask students t finish Part A n Page 9.

Step 4 Presenting
I will say : “I think yu’re very hard-wrking students. Yu have learnt s much knwledge tday. And yu are still sitting here. Yu are all patient. Yu are patient enugh t study fr hurs. Write dwn this sentence pattern ‘t be + adj + ‘enugh’ + ‘t d’ n the black bard. Tell students we can use this pattern t describe a persn’s persnality and abilities. Let students read the sample sentence n Page 10.”
Step 5 Practicing
Befre we d the exercise n Page 10, I will ask students t cver the adjectives n the right and wrk n their wn t write the sentences fr Part B. Remind them that they need t rearrange the rder f the wrds and chse a prper adjective fr each sentence. Then check the answer in class.
