1.Chinese students have more  weeks off in the summertime than British students.在夏季,中国学生比英国学生拥有更长时间的暑假.

这是一个比较级句型,句中的 “have/take+时间+off ”是固定短语,意为“腾出……(时间)休息”。如：

（1）They will take tomorrow off .他们明天将休息

（2）We have had a week off .我们已经休假一周了

In the summertime等于in the summer ，单词summertime指“the season of summer”,如：We often swim in the summertime.在夏季我们经常游泳。

2.British students spend less time doing their homerwork than Chinese students.英国学生比中国学生花费更少的时间做作业。

该句是一个than引导的比较级与spend 短语组合而成的句型。在本句中，由spend构成的基本结构为：sb.+ spend + time + (in) doing sth,意为“某人在做某事方面花费了（时间）”如：

The old man spent his spare time (in)gardening. 3.My school uniform is different from John’s.我的校服与约翰的不同。

该句可以转换为：My school uniform is not the same as John’s.在含有as…as…,than,be the same as ,be different from 等表示比较的句子中，其比较的对象必须是同类事物。如：
