Step 1:Warming up& Revision
T:Hello,boys and girls. I’m very glad to meet you! Do you know any successful people?
Ss:Yes!
T:OK!Please answer my questions. What is success?How do you know if you have succeeded? Please tell me,OK?
Ss:Yes!(几个学生起立自由回答,教师把学生的答案写在黑板上)
设计意图:此环节通过师生互动导入本单元话题,渲染课堂气氛,激发学生的学习兴趣,消除学生一节课开始的紧张感,为接下来的讨论做准备。
Step 2:Prereading
1.Teach phrases and practice the sentence patterns
教师出示本课单词的图片,导入词汇、短语、句型的学习。在学习词组的过程中,通过师生对话操练What’s the meaning of life?/What is success?/Why are great people so successful?等句型。
T:Boys and girls,we each have a dream!We want to succeed in our life. Yes?
Ss:Yes!
T:First,let’s have a look at some cards and learn the new words,OK?
T:The first card,read after me“meaning meaning”.

T:What’s the meaning of life?(The Ss follow the teacher two times)
T:Very good!

设计意图:此环节通过师生间的对话,引入词—短语—句型操练,学习过程从词到句,从句子到对话。通过教师领读,学生跟读学习单词,词组与句型。在不知不觉中初步感知句型教学遵循从浅到深,从易到难,层层递进的规律。尊重语言学习的规律,也符合学生的认知规律。
2.Have a competition game to practice the sentence pattern in pairs.
教师把全班分为8个小组进行争夺获胜组游戏,教师通过屏幕展示更多生动有趣的图片。要求学生做结对练习操练句型,不出现错误的小组可获一颗星,说的句子和词汇最多的组为获胜组!
设计意图:通过竞赛游戏的方式充分调动学生主动参与的意识,增添了学生语言学习的乐趣,使学生在操练中潜移默化地感知句型,运用本课的词汇和短语。从而达到调动学生的多种感官体验,突破本课教学重难点。
Step 3:Whilereading
1.Listen and read after the video
教师播放对话视频,播放一句,暂停一次,学生观看视频并跟读对话。
设计意图:通过学生观看生动活泼的对话视频并跟读、模仿,能提高学生的语感,提高对英语语音、语调的感悟力和用正确语音语调进行口语输出的能力。
2.Work in group of 8 to deal with the key words,phrases and sentences
学生通过合作探究找出大屏幕上出现的短语和句子。
the key words,phrases and sentences:
(1)He is deep in thought. 他陷入了沉思。
be deep in thought 陷入沉思
(2)What’s the meaning of life? 生命的意义是什么?
the meaning of... ……的意义
(3)For example,why are great people so successful?例如,为什么伟人如此成功?
for example 例如
successful 形容词“成功的”,在句中常作定语或表语。是success的形容词形式,其动词为succeed,副词为successfully。
(4)I’m not sure how to answer them,but I think we should try our best to live a good and happy life.我不确定该怎样回答他们,但是我认为我们应该尽最大努力过幸福美好的生活。
how to answer them句式结构为:特殊疑问词+to do不定式构成名词性短语。
try one’s best to do sth. 尽某人最大努力做…… live a...life 过……的生活
(5)My dad always says that we should be good to others.
我的爸爸总是说我们应该友好地对待其他人。
be good to...对……好
(6)Then let’s survey our parents,friends and neighbors about their thoughts.
让我们就我们的父母、朋友和邻居的想法做一个调查。
survey动词“调查”
neighbors名词“邻居”
给学生一段时间背诵。
设计意图:学生应是学习的主体,教师要努力调动学生学习的积极性和主动性,通过组内合作讨论,探究,找出对话中的关键单词和短语,把所学的知识转化为学习能力。
3.Choose an excellent student to be a teacher to teach and control the “Question Time”
让一位学生自愿到讲台前充当教师的角色,领读,提问屏幕上的知识点,学生学习知识点。(学生所在的小组加2颗星)
设计意图:此活动在任务的设计上加大了一定的难度,让学生充当老师,以适应优秀生的要求,让学生成为课堂真正的主人。学生教学生,学生可以更加的集中注意力于课堂的内容,引入小组竞争,学生积极性更高。
4.Challenge your memory
教师给学生最后一次看课文的机会,要求学生尽可能地记忆课文中的内容,迎接记忆大挑战,完成第19页练习1。
设计意图:通过挑战记忆力的方式,激发学生的竞争意识和挑战意识。理解课文内容,最终达到语言综合运用能力,为接下来的语言输出做准备。
Step 4:Listening
教师播放对话视频,学生听对话并做题。采取个人抢答的形式核对答案,个人所在小组加分。
T:Boys and girls,it’s our listening time,please listen to the video and do Exercise 2.If you know the answer,please stand up and speak out!You will get stars for your group. Ready?Go!
Listen to the passage and tick the sentences mentioned.

设计意图:本环节设计在解决了课文的疑难之后,学生对课文有了一定的认知,在此基础上练习听力,使听力的目标更容易达到。
Step 5:Group work
教师把全班分为8人一组,小组之间有一人提出问题,另一人用学过的句型回答。先让两个英语基础好的同学表演一下,给大家做个示范,教师纠正他们出现的错误,然后让其他同学模仿学习他们,最后小组代表到前面利用投影仪边说边展示他们的成果,根据表演程度加星。这样掌握知识深刻,不易忘记,到达了教学的目的。
设计意图:此环节通过小组合作形式,操练运用本节课所学的句型,讨论生命的意义。目的是为学生创建成果展示的平台,并将本课所学知识点升华为贴近学生实际生活的语言交际。在教学的过程中极大地激发学生的兴趣。
Step 6:Consolidation & Extension
1.Do Exercise 1 and Exercise 2 on Page 19.
2.Exercises.
老师在屏幕上呈现一些本节课相关练习。
