This unit will fcus n discussing the students’ futures. Students will begin t explre their likes, dislikes, strengths and weaknesses in terms f future careers. They will begin t frm ideas and pinins abut their futures and what they hpe t accmplish. They will learn abut different prfessins, jb ptins and identify what their gals are fr the future and what steps they will need t take t achieve thse gals.
In additin, they will learn t give and receive advice and psitive feedback. The grammar fcus thrughut this unit will be the mdal verbs might and wuld,cmparative and superlative adjectives.
2.教学目标
语言技能:掌握描述理想的词汇与语句,并就自己的理想进行简单介绍。
掌握词汇:wise, actr
接触词汇:Helen
短语和句型:n matter what…
情感态度:
通过对课文的学习使孩子们树立远大理想,认识到立足现在才会有美好的未来。
3.教学重点:了解不同人的理想,并利用阅读后所获取的信息来进行写作。
教学难点:根据所学知识,准确恰当地用英语描述自己的理想。
4.学习策略:鼓励学生通过观察、模仿、体验、探究、展示等方式学习与合作学习。

三.教学步骤:
Step 1. Class Opening
Think Abut It. (Abut 3 minutes)

Step 2. Listen
1. Teacher:Danny desn’t knw his future very clearly. S he asked Helen fr help.

2. Play the tape fr the students. Ask them t listen carefully and then tell T r F. (Abut 5 minutes)

Step 3. Read (Abut 10 minutes)
1) Read Lessn 30 silently and try t find ut the answers t the questins.
What questins did Danny ask Helen ?
What’s Helen’s advice fr Danny?
Will Danny and Li Ming be friends when they becme rich?
2) Then have the students answer the questins.
3) Discuss the answers as a class.

Step 4. Practice(Abut 5 minutes)
Ask the students t fill in the blanks with the useful expresins in this lessn.

Step 5. Reading Practice(Abut 10 minutes)
Give the students a passage t read. And then let them find ut students’ ambitins and the reasns.

Step 6.Writing (Abut 10 minutes)
T: As we all knw frm this lessn, many peple have dreams. What abut yur dreams and why? Let the students discuss in grups t finish the passage with the help f the fllwing questins.
Write an e-mail t yur friend. Tell him r her abut yur ambitins and ask fr advice.
Ask each grup t present their article t the class if there’s enugh time.
