教材分析
本单元的教学主要内容是:学习“问路指路”的常用表达方式 ,该话题与学生的日常生活紧密联系在一起,容易唤起学生的学习兴趣,这对于提高学生的综合能力很有帮助,特别是说的能力。 本单元仍在继续学习一般现在时,这是一个生活中离不开的时态,也是最基本的一个时态。新课程标准要求学生重点掌握一般现在时,这在英语中使用频率很高,学好这一时态的用法对以后其他时态的学习和交际有很大的帮助。
学情分析
学生现有的能力与已掌握的知识: 学生在上学期已经学过词汇:big, small, old, new, 句型: Where is …? It’s in/on/under/ … 指路问路对地点特征描述都可以用到上述的词汇和句型。经过上半学期的学习学生已经积累了一定的词汇,掌握了一定的目标语,已经具备了一定的听说读写能力。
设计思路
(1)听说教学法:以听、说、读、写、练为主,通过对本课重点句型的学习培养学生听力、口语以及书面语的能力。
(2)任务型教学法:设计各种活动如结对活动、小组合作,促使学生为用而学,增强集体荣誉感。
(3)学生自主学习:能提前预习课文及相关知识,使其对教师教学内容起补充作用。
(4)学生合作探究学习:采用小组合作的学习方式,使他们能够相互交流,从而获得知识和技能,能体会到成功的快乐
(5)利用老师所提供的图片做出简单的判断,学习相关方位介词以及描绘性形容词。
(6) 通过与同学交流,学会使用问路指路,对地点特征做出简单描述的句型。
(7)通过各小组的对话练习培养学生的合作精神;
(8)通过学习本单元,教会学生礼貌待人,建立和睦的邻里关系;

Then the teacher corrects their pronunciations.

Student look at the following new words:

At first, a few students try to read them
S: When it is a general question, “be” should be put in the first word of a sentence.
When it is negative, it should add “not” behind “be”.
S:A positive answer is “Yes, there is “or “Yes, there are.” A negative answer is “No, there isn’t “, or “No, there aren’t.”
S: Now finish the following exercises:

S: Now listen to the tape, and circle the places you hear in 1a.
Listen again: finish the following dialogues:

T: Hello, class, last lesson we studied some prepositions about position, such As: around, behind……, this class, we are going to learn other new words about asking the way.
Ask students to say the questions and answers.
Ask students to circle these words in the grammar focus section of their books: such as: on, across from, next to, between…..and.

3. 探究学习there be句型
There be句型中be动词的形式要和其后面的主语在人称和数上保持一致。
如果句子的主语是单数的可数名词,或是不可数名词,be动词用“is”。
如果句子的主语是复数名词,be动词就用“are”。
如果有两个或两个以上的名词作主语,be动词要和最靠近它的那个主语
在数上保持一致,也就是我们常说的“就近原则”。
Ask students to read it out loud.

One person chooses a building in the picture of 1a, but doesn't tell anyone which building it is. The others ask questions like those in the activity 3c until they guess which building it is. Several students can take turns to choose the building, the others will guess.
