keep n意为“继续”,后可接动名词。例如:

keep+adj.保持……考点2 be able t的用法
be able t意为“能够做某事”,后跟动词原形,用于表示能力,有时可以和can进行同义转换。can只有一般现在时和一般过去时两种形式,即can和culd。没有人称和数的变化。而be able t可根据句子需要可以用于任何时态,如was able t,will be able t等。例如:
She said she culd play the pian.她说她会弹钢琴。
If we change ur seats,yu will be able t see the blackbard clearly.如果我们换座位,你就能够看清黑板了。

1.prmise作名词时,意为“承诺;诺言”;作动词时,意为“许诺;承诺”。

考点4 take up的用法
1.take up表示“开始做;学着做”,尤其指做以前没做过的事。take up后面可跟名词或动名词。
2.take up还可表示“占用”。例如:
My mther asked me t mve the table ut f the rm because it tk up t much rm.我妈妈要我把那张桌子搬出房间,因为它占用了太多空间。

考点5 discuss的用法
1.discuss作动词,意为“讨论;商量”。常用短语discuss with sb.意为“与某人商量”。
2.discuss的常见用法:
(1)discuss后面接“疑问词+t d sth.”结构作宾语。例如:
We are discussing hw t get t the airprt.我们正在讨论怎样去机场。
(2)discuss后面接宾语从句。例如:
They discussed what they culd d.他们商量了他们能做什么。
3.discuss的名词形式为discussin,意为“讨论;商讨”。
考点6 sure的用法
1.sure常用于口语中,为说话人较有把握的肯定回答,意为“当然可以;愿意”,相当于certainly或yes。例如:
—May I use yur pen?我能用一下你的钢笔吗?
—Sure.当然可以。
2.sure的其他用法:
(1)祈使句“Be sure+不定式+其他”表示说话人向对方所提出的要求,意为“务必,千万”。例如:
Be sure t give it back in time.务必要及时归还。
(2)“be sure+不定式”还可意为“一定,肯定”,往往表示说话人的一种推测或判断,主语可以是人,也可以是物。例如:
It’s sure t rain tmrrw.明天一定会下雨。
(3)be sure f/abut表示“相信;对……有把握”,后接名词、代词或动名词形式,主语必须是人。例如:
He is sure f success.= He is sure that he will succeed.他自信会取得成功。
(4)“be sure+从句”表示“肯定;对……有把握”,主句的主语必须是人。例如:
I’m sure wh he is.我知道他是谁。
(5)make sure意为“确保;查明”。例如:
Make sure yu get a gd lk at their faces.你一定要仔细看清他们的面孔。
