These examples are what we call Chinglish. When it cmes t Chinglish, if all yu knw is “gd gd study, day day up”, yu will be cnsidered “ut man”.
Nwadays, mre Chinglish wrds have been created, fr example, a Chinese idim is translated as “smilence”, a cmbinatin by the English wrd smile and silence.

Beijing has made a cmprehensive plan t imprve freign language services and crrect Chinglish within five years. “It is very ridiculus t see Chinglish n the signs in sme scenic spts. And they are a kind f barrier fr cmmunicatin between Chinese and peple frm ther cuntries, ”a Beijinger said.
Sme Chinese university experts side with Chinglish. They argue that English has absrbed elements frm ther languages such as French and Spanish in its grwth, and nw it’s Chinese’s turn.

Sme peple describe American sciety as a salad bwl while thers think f it as a melting pt.
In a bwl f salad, all the ingredients are mixed tgether. 1 Tgether, hwever, the ingredients make up a unity. All the ingredients f a salad cntribute t the finished prduct. They may be cvered with the same dressing (调味酱), but the green vegetables, tmates and cked crn can all be seen fr what they are.
Frm this pint f view, America is very much like a salad bwl where individual ethnic grups mix tgether, yet maintain their cultural uniqueness. Peple may wrk tgether during the day at similar jbs and in the same cmpanies, but at night they may return t their ethnic grups where their wn individual culture directs their way f life. 2 Each ethnic grup has its wn special custms, language, fd and traditins t prtect and defend. This idea f the salad bwl is referred t as cultural diversity; that is, American sciety is a cllectin f varius cultures living tgether in harmny within ne cuntry.
3 Here, sciety is like ne large pt f sup. All cultural aspects are mixed tgether, sacrificing their riginal identity and keeping a bit f what they were t becme a new reality. The lnger the sup is cked, the better the taste and the mre likely it will be fr the mixture t disslve. In this sense, America can surely be seen as a melting pt where peple frm all ver the wrld cme t live and wrk tgether frming ne natin. There are dzens f shared symbls. 4 In such a culture, symbls like the flag and the natin’s fficial sng serve t break dwn the walls which separate ethnic grups.
Whether a salad bwl r a melting pt, America can be best described as a mixture f bth. 5
    A. Bth are crrect depending n ne’s pint f view.
    B. They never lse their shapes, clrs r tastes.
    C. This is why there is s much diversity within America.
    D. In ther wrds, America is a natin where there is unity in diversity.
    E. Thus, ne needs t abandn ne’s culture t be cnsidered “American”.
    F. They serve t develp the varius ethnic grups t create a new American culture.
    G. The ther thery, which is als used t describe American sciety, is the melting pt.
They指代前句中的all the ingredients(所有的材料)。故选B项。
D项中unity in diversity是本段第一句中a mixture f bth的另一种说法。故选D项。
