【教材内容分析】
本部分是听说课,围绕英语学习展开。在Sectin A谈论英语学习的基础上,丰富与学习的话题词汇,将听说能力综合,以听促说。在话题上,从英语的学习困难及解决方案,拓展到优秀学习者的学习习惯。1a-1b让学生思考自己英语学习有哪些困难,并写下来。1a列举的学习困难也为后面1c-1d的听力谈论的相关话题进行了预热。1e需要学生结合所听内容,用对话形式复现听力信息。
【学情分析】
学生在学习了Sectin A谈论英语学习方法的基础上, 对用英语表达学习困难及解决方案等有了一定的基础,同时也保持着较高的兴趣,学习内容“如何给学习困难者提出建议”贴近学习生活,难度不大,学生会有表达的欲望,有一定的积极性。所以教师可以鼓励学生直面学习困难,不断改进自己的学习方法、提高学习效率,并引导学生逐步养成或者巩固原有的良好的学习习惯。
【学习目标】
1.在语言上,巩固Sectin A所学语言结构,丰富与学习相关的话题词汇。
2.训练听说能力,以听促说。
3.关注同伴的学习方式,借鉴并用于自身;不断改进自己的学习方法、提高学习效率。
【学习重点】
重点词汇:prnunce,increase,speed,partner.
目标语言:
1. I’m having truble learning English. /I can’t get the prnunciatin right. /Smetimes I just dn’t understand what peple are saying.
2. Yu can always write the new wrds in yur ntebk and review them frm time t time. /Yu can even study n the subway n the way t schl.

Step1: Lead-in
Intrduce the tpic by asking students questins:

Step 2: Presentatin
1. Get students t read the sentences in 1a, and check the statements that are true fr them, and present the new wrds while ding it: prnunce, increase, speed, partner.
2. Ask students t finish 1b: write ut as many ther things that are difficult fr them as pssible.
3. The teacher gives prper advice, and then let students give advice by themselves.
(环节说明:教师所给建议尽量使用随后听力活动录音文稿中的教师话语,这样可以让学生预先对听力中的部分语言有所了解,降低听力难度。)

Step 3: Listening t 1c & 1d
Befre listening
1. Ask students t read the fur sentences in 1c and 1d.
2. Students try t guess the prper wrds, then share the answers withthe partners, and the teacher cllects the different answers.
(环节说明:通过浏览信息,为获取信息铺垫、获取准确的听力信息作好准备,引起学生兴趣,形成听力期待,降低听力难度;教师巡视、搜集学生在预估中所填出的不同词汇,引导学生展开交流,可以滚动复习旧词、接触新词,以达到复习、扩充词汇之目的。)
While listening
1. Ask students t listen fr the first time and cmplete the learning challenges Paul talks abut. Listen and check the answers.

2. Ask students t listen fr the secnd time and cmplete the slutins. Check the answers.
Answers: (1) Listening (2) write the new wrds (3) jining an English club (4) pen pal
3. Get students t listen again and repeat fr the prnunciatin and intnatin, lking at the tapescripts.
(环节说明:通过听的方式输入功能句型,达到知识目标,先听后读,培养学习英语的良好习惯,同时学习正确的语音语调,争取能说一口标准流利的英语。)
After Listening
Step 4: Wrk n 1e
1. Ask students t make cnversatins in pairs. Ask several pairs t act them ut.
2. Let students write ut their difficulties in learning English by themselves and share them in grups f six.
3. The thers in the whle grup help the ne wh has difficulties, giving him/her advice.
4. Ask students t write a reprt, talking abut the difficulties, the advice and hw t imprve English.
(环节说明:为学生提供口语交流平台,引导他们谈论学习中的困难及解决的办法,交流学习英语的经验和方法,提高学习英语的信心。)

先自主学习,再以四人小组方式展开讨论:
1.本课学习了哪些内容?
2.学习有困难怎样表述?怎样给学习有困难的同学支招?
3.还有什么疑问?组内讨论,解决不了的反馈给老师一起解决。
