     Unit 1 How can we become good learners? Section B 2a-2e教案 【教材内容分析】    本节课是一节阅读课。活动2a-2e是一系列与阅读相关的任务链。这一部分内容以How can you become a successful learner?为核心展开阅读训练。2a为读前活动,要求学生列出自己所知的好的学习方法并与同伴讨论,旨在导入话题,为阅读作好准备。2b侧重训练阅读的寻读策略,需要学生快速阅读语篇,并找到成功学习者通常具备的四种学习习惯。2c提出了关于文章各个细节的问题,需要学生细读文章找到答案。2d-2e为读后活动,2d结合本单元提出的使用词典的学习策略,需要学生利用词典找出所列举的多义词在阅读语篇中的词义并造句。这个活动需要学生能根据上下文从词典中判断、选择恰当词义。2e是阅读后延伸性口语交流活动,旨在训练学生口头表达能力的同时,引导学生养成积极的学习态度。【学情分析】     经过本单元前面内容的学习后,学生应该有了一些储备。但需要学生利用所读内容并结合自身学习情况,反思自己是否具备优秀学习者应具备的学习习惯和方法。学生学会或能有意识地结合自身实际选择有效学习方式,以获取学业上的成功。【学习目标】 1.学生能学会重点词汇以及目标语言。 2.能够通过阅读提取所需要的必要信息。 3.训练阅读的寻读策略、使用词典的学习策略。【学习重点】 1.重点词汇:be born withabilitycreatebrainactivepay attention toconnect… withovernightreviewknowledgelifelongwisely 2.目标语言:How can you become a successful learner?  Creating an interest in what they learn/Practicing and learning from mistakes/Developing their study skills/Asking questions【学习难点】 Use target languages to describe your learning methods.【课堂导学过程】 课堂导入】 Step1: Lead-inAsk students to brainstorm and say the difficulties in learning English and the good ways of learning English and discuss them with their partners.Let’s talk about the best ways to learn English.As we all know, learning English is not an easy job with great challenges and difficulties.Q: How can we become a successful English learner?      What good learning habits should we have? (环节说明:读前活动旨在为阅读铺垫,激活学生对阅读话题或者内容的相关知识。) Step 2: Presentation    Walk around in the classroom, and collect their words. While doing this, present the new words and write them on the blackboard: always read English aloud, both in and out of school do a bit reading in English every day study with a group sometimes instead of working on my own memorize new words and review them as often as possible  be active in thinking pay too much attention to the knowledge of grammar  connect something new with knowledge and experience I already have review well what I have learned lack concentration in class or when doing homework  feel nervous about making mistakes (环节说明:导入阅读课,激发学生继续阅读的兴趣和动机,同时谈论的问题与阅读的信息相关,为学生顺利阅读提供相关信息支持。) 课堂活动 Step 3: Reading  Before reading Ask students to predict what they will read in this passage with the help of the title. Make sure not to read the words in the passage. (环节说明:通过指导学生捕捉视觉信息中有助于阅读预测的线索,如:利用标题等来提供必要的背景,预测课文的内容,传授阅读预测的方法和技巧,培养学生的预测能力。) While reading 1. Let students scan the passage and check their predictions. (环节说明:向学生讲清楚阅读预测的重要性,树立学生掌握预测技能的决心和信心,激发他们的动机和兴趣。) 2. Get students to read the passage quickly (10-20 seconds) and try to find out the answers to the questions:How many habits are mentioned in the passage? And what are they? (环节说明:让学生初次阅读文本,按照2b要求完成活动,阅读策略渗透:意识到利用字体的视觉差异——粗体加黑及跳跃寻读是阅读中经常使用的一种策略方法。) 3. Ask students to read the passage more carefully again, and focus on the details. Try to find out the answers to the questions. (1) According to the writer, what kind of ability is everyone born with? (2) Why is it a good idea to connect something you need to learn with something you’re interested in? (3) What’s the Chinese translation for “use it or lose it” and “practice makes perfect”? (4) Are good learners afraid of making mistakes? What do they do with the mistakes? (5) What study skills does the writer talk about? List them out. (6) Why do many people say learning is a lifelong journey? (环节说明:要求学生再次阅读文本,训练学生关注细节的能力。) 4. Get students to have a discussion while checking the answers. The first is after Question 1, and the second is after Question 6. (1) Besides the ability to learn, what other abilities do you think everyone is born with? (2) When people say “You are never too late to learn.”, what do they mean? (环节说明:通过discussion的形式,将问题视角侧重于学生自身观点的表述,训练学生表达自己观点的能力。) After reading 1. Work on 2d. Get students to look up the words from the passage in the dictionary. Then write a sentence of each word. (环节说明:读后语言学习能力训练:词典运用。培养学生运用词典、自主学习的能力。) 2. Work on 2e. Do you think you are a good learner? What learning habits do you think are useful? Discuss with your group and share your ideas with the class. (环节说明:在学生熟读及透彻理解课文的基础上,进行小组讨论,让每个学生都有机会参与交流。) 【重点突破】 1. Everyone is born with the ability to learn. But whether or not you can do this well depends on your learning habits. (1) be born意为出生,为被动语态。 I was born in a small village.我出生在一个小山村。 He was born to succeed in life.他生来注定会成功。 (2) whether or not意为是否whether引导主语从句,不能与if替换。 Whether she will come or not is still a problem. 她是否会来还是个问题。 2. Even if you learn something well, you will forget it unless you use it. (1) even if意为即使,尽管,用于引导让步状语从句,有退一步设想的意味,同义于“even though” I’ll help you, even if I must stay up the whole night.  即使熬夜一整晚我也要帮助你。 (2) forget后直接跟名词、代词、动词不定式或动词-ing形式,但两者意义完全不同。 forget to do sth.忘记去做某事  forget doing sth.忘记做过某事 【课堂小结】    先自主学习,再以四人小组方式展开讨论:    1.本文共提供了哪几种有效的学习方法?    2.你自己还有哪些学习方法也不错,请列举出来。 【课后作业】 1. Make sentences with new words and phrases in this passage. 2. Write a passage about how you learn English.
