Step 1. warmer
1. The teacher shw the wrds t revise them,then ask the students t spell them, teacher write them n the bard.
2. Revise the sentences in unit 1.
Shw the picture: the great wall . then ask: hw lng is it? Hw ld is it?
3. Then shw building and ask the questin: hw tall is the building?
Have the students answer it using the sentence: it’s ………tall.
4. Teacher write the title: it’s twenty metres tall.
Step 2. Learn the part 1.
1. listen and answer the questins:
what’s the building?
Hw tall is the building?
Hw ld is the clck? (此时老师对tall 和 high 的用法做一个简单的介绍和练习。)
2. listen and check the answer.

Step 3. learn the part 2 and part 3.
1. the teacher shw the pictures ne by ne. ( the great wall, ld building, new building, river thames, twer bridge ) then teach the wrds.

2.Teacher put the pictures n the bard ,ask the questins and have the students guess the answer,teacher write the numbers under the pictures.

3. sing the sng with the music.
4. sing the sng withut the music.

唱歌可以活跃课堂气氛,同时也可以让紧张的神经放松一下,有利于下一步学生能更加有热情投入学习。

1. have the students read the dialgue and understand the meaning f the game.

方法策略
让学生充分发挥自己的想象力或是利用课外知识回答此题,以此引出此课要学习的重点句型。
老师把学生分成男生女生两组进行竞猜游戏,先猜出这些建筑物的高度,长度和年龄并写在相应的图片下面,然后老师放录音和学生一起检查他们给出的答案谁组的答案更接近正确答案,谁组就可以在鱼儿的嘴巴上吐个泡泡。
游戏活动的设计增加趣味性,让学生真正进入角色,变成课堂的主人。
