    Teaching purpse
    通过“创造超级模特”的游戏,激发学生的表达欲望,提高课堂参与度,并利用已学词汇输出句子,让学生自己将点(词汇)组合构成面(语段)进行输出。
    Read and write.
    (1)Pre-reading.
    ①Play a game—“Create a supermdel”.
    Draw the utline f a persn n the blackbard. Ask students t design his/ her appearance and clthes. Let each student say ne sentence. Draw the utline accrding t students’ descriptins until a supermdel is created.
    Ask students t lk at the picture again. Let them try t make descriptive sentences int a shrt paragraph.
    ②Guess: Wh is my best friend?
    Ask sme students t use a cmplete paragraph t intrduce their gd friend’s appearance and dress. Ask the ther students t guess wh he / she is. Review and cnslidate the key sentences learned in this unit.

    先让学生观察并讨论图片内容,再根据句子来选择正确的图片,培养阅读策略,检验学生是否能够正确认读并理解词汇及句型。
    (2) While-reading.
    ①Shw the picture and fur grups f sentences f “Read and match” n the PPT.(出示课件)
    Let students bserve the picture, underline the key wrds and phrases and talk abut it in class.
    T: Lk at these children, bys and girls. Wh are they?
    Ss: They’re Ben, James, Ann and Kate.
    Write dwn the names n the blackbard and read them at the same time.
    T: Ben, pen—Ben, e/e/. James, name—James, a-e/eɪ/. Ann, ant—Ann, a/æ/. Kate, cake—Kate, a-e/eɪ/.
    Ss: … (Read after the teacher.)
    T: Can yu talk smething abut James?
    S1: …
    T: Wh can talk abut Ben?

    ②Cmplete the activity f “Read and match”.
    Ask fur students t read the fur grups f sentences in turn. The ther students judge by what they hear.
    Then check the answers tgether by letting students ask and answer.
    Answers:1—James; 2—Ann; 3—Kate; 4—Ben
    S1: He has shrt hair. He has a big green bag. What is his name?
    S2: His name is James.
    S3: She has lng hair. She has range shes. What is her name?
    S4: Her name is Ann.
    Write dwn the sentence structures “He/She has…” “—What’s his/her name? —His/ Her name is…” n the blackbard.
    S5: She is tall. She is friendly. She has a blue hat. Wh is she?
    S6: She is Kate.
    S7: He is shrt and thin. He has glasses. He is near the windw. Wh is he?
    S8: He is Ben.
    Write dwn the sentence structures “—Wh is he/she? —He/ She is…” n the blackbard.
    Lead students t understand the difference between “What is his/her name?” and “Wh is he/ she?”
    T: What is his/ her name? We can nly answer the name here. Wh is he/ she? We can answer the name, the jb r the relatinship with the speaker here.
    ③Listen and repeat.
    Ask and answer in pairs. One says the name f the character in the picture. The ther quickly retells the character’s descriptive text. Then exchange t cmplete the exercise.

    S1: Kate.
    S2: She is tall. She is friendly. She has a blue hat.

    T: Yes, there are many gifts in the red bag. He has a red hat, t. But there is n “hat” in the square frame. S we shuld fill “bag” in the blank.

    T: Great! Please chse the crrect wrds r phrases t fill in the blanks.
    ③Remind students t write the wrds r phrases crrectly.
    Cmment n the cmpletin f students. Crrect writing errrs in time. Then check the answers tgether.
    Answers: 1. tall; thin 2. bag 3. lng hair
    Ask three students t read the sentences in turn.
    ④Let students write a few sentences they have learned in this unit t intrduce a classmate. Next, let sme students read the sentences they have written. The ther students guess which students they’re describing.
