Shw sme pictures ne by ne. Every picture has a part cvered. Ask students t lk carefully and try t speak ut the right wrd r phrase as sn as pssible. The first ne wh speaks ut the right wrd
r phrase can get a gift. The wrds and phrases are the key vcabulary in this unit.
3. Play a game: Rck, scissrs, clth.
(游戏说明:同桌两人一组,进行“石头剪刀布”的游戏。赢的同学用 “What can yu d?”提问,输的同学则用 “I can…”来回答。)
4. Talk abut the best friend.
The teacher shws a picture f the best friend. Briefly intrduce this friend.
T: This is my best friend. He/ She is friendly/ tall/… He/ She can speak English /… He /She can’t… Wh’s yur best friend? Is he /she tall/…? What can he /she d?
Let students talk with each ther in pairs. Ask several students t intrduce their best friends t the class.

(1) Play the recrding f “Read and write”. (出示课件) Ask students t try t read after it. Let students practice reading the email by themselves and pay attentin t the prnunciatin and the intnatin.
(2) Ask students t fill in the blanks n the PPT and try t repeat the email. Invite several students t repeat the email. The ne wh des a gd jb can get a gift.
(3) T: D yu want t be Rbin’s friend?
Let students answer and briefly talk abut the reasns. Remind students t intrduce themselves frm tw aspects: characteristics and abilities. Lead students t cmplete persnalized writing in their bks. Ask students t cmplete the first and the secnd sentences. Then let them write a whle sentence abut themselves independently.
Shw a mdel n the PPT.
Walk arund t check students’ handwriting and spellings. Give guidance when it’s necessary. Ask students t talk abut the sentences they have written in grups. Then ask several students t read their sentences in class. Evaluate students.

(1) Shw an email template. Lead students t learn the frmat f it. Explain hw t write and send an email step by step. Stress the wrd “send” by pinting t the crrespnding icn. And ask students t pay attentin t the email addresses f the recipient and the sender. Tell students that if they want t send an email t Rbin, they shuld send the email at rbin@urfriend.cn. Write dwn “want” “send” and “at” n the blackbard. Lead students t read these wrds several times.
(2) Encurage students t write an email t Rbin. They can use the email template n the PPT fr help.
(3) Shw sme students’ emails t the class. Crrect the mistakes tgether.
