If the victim has gtten an electric shck by an appliance r a lse wire inside a building, the easiest and safest thing t d may be simply t turn ff the pwer r pull a plug. But yu need t make sure that the flw f electricity has been stpped. …
…If yu cannt stp the flw f electricity r if yu are nt certain that it has been stpped, then yu need t either mve the surce f electricity away frm the persn r the persn away frm the surce. T d this, yu must use smething which des nt cnduct electricity, such as thick rubber mat, a wden chair, a wden stick, r even a cardbard bx. Please be sure that it is dry! If it is wet, yu culd get an electric shck.
After remving the surce f the electricity, yu shuld call fr help. Then yu shuld check the victim fr injuries. If he is nt breathing and has n pulse, yu shuld perfrm CPR. First lay the victim flat n his back. Next, put ne hand n tp f the ther and press quickly and firmly dwn n the chest. Yu shuld d this at least 100 times a minute. Cntinue ding this until help arrives.
If the victim is breathing and has a pulse, yu shuld treat any burns by washing them in cl running water, patting them dry, and then cvering the burn with a dry clth.
