    MIT researchers have develped a way t incrprate(融入)electrnic sensrs int fabrics, allwing them t create shirts r ther garments that culd be used t mnitr vital signs such as temperature and heart rate. The sensr-embedded(嵌入)garments can be custmized(定做)t fit clse t the bdy f the persn wearing them.
    "We can have electrnic parts r lab-made electrnics embedded within the textiles(纺织物)that we wear every day, creating cmfrtable garments," says Dagdeviren, an prfessr at MIT. His grup set ut t create garments mre similar t the clthes we nrmally wear, using a fabric that has remvable electrnic sensrs in it.
    "In ur case, the textile is nt electrically functinal. It's just a passive element f ur garment s that yu can wear the devices cmfrtably during yur daily activities," Dagdeviren says. "Our main gal was t measure the physical activity f the bdy all frm the same bdy part, withut requiring any fixture(固定装置)r any tape."
    The electrnic sensrs cnsist f lng flexible strips(细条). These channels have small penings that allw the sensrs t be expsed t the skin. Fr this study, the researchers designed a shirt with 30 temperature sensrs and an accelermeter(速度器)that can measure the wearer's mvement, heart rate, and breathing rate. The garment can then transmit(传输)this data wirelessly t a smartphne.
    This kind f sensing culd be useful fr persnalized telemedicine, allwing dctrs t remtely mnitr patients. "Yu dn't need t g t the dctr r d a vide call," Dagdeviren says. "Thrugh this kind f data cllectin, I think dctrs can make better assessments and help their patients in a better way."
    Last summer, several f the researchers spent time at a factry in Shenzhen, China, t experiment with mass-prducing the material used fr the garments. "Frm the utside it lks like a nrmal T-shirt, but frm the inside, yu can see the electrnic parts which are tuching yur skin," Dagdeviren says.
