When Helen Keller was 19 mnths ld, an illness left her deaf, dump (哑巴) and blind. At the age f five, she began t realize that she was different frm ther peple. The Chinese kite is a symbl f the Chinese handicraft (手工艺品). Flying a kite is a very ppular activity in China. In spring, large numbers f peple gather in the squares r parks and fly beautiful kites there.
A philspher (哲学家) called Mzi was said t be the inventr f the Chinese kite. His inventin had the bird's name f "Yuan", a kind f bird f the hawk (鹰) family with a lng tail. He made the kite ut f wd. Later, his student Lu Ban imprved it and made the kite ut f bamb.
With the develpment f papermaking, paper was intrduced int the kite-making. The kite gt the name "Zhi Yuan", as "Zhi" in Chinese means paper.
