“Fr peple wh are wrried abut maths, psture(姿势) makes a big difference,” Erik Peper frm San Francisc State University tld the Daily Mail. That’s right—sitting up straight can help yu d better n maths exams.
Scientists tested 125 cllege students. They asked them t d a simple maths exam while sitting in a slumped-ver(趴倒的) psture, r sitting up straight. After the test, 56 percent f students said the exam was easier t d if they were sitting up straight.

It’s a Western custm t say “bless yu” after smene sneezes.

This is a cmmn exchange in English-speaking cuntries. When yu hear smene else sneeze, it is plite t say “bless yu”, t which they shuld reply with “thank yu”. But where des this dd custm cme frm?
In fact, it dates back t medieval(中世纪的) Eurpe, specifically, the time f the bubnic plague(黑死病). The plague killed nearly ne-third f Eurpe’s ppulatin within three years (1347-1350). The first symptm f the bubnic plague was sneezing. At that time, peple believed that if yu sneezed, yur sul might leave yur bdy.
