❶ height 　n.高度;身高height的形容词形式为high。[注意] be+数词+metres+in+height/length/width…=be+数词+metres+high/lng/wide…The building is 30 metres in height. 这栋建筑物有30米高。
【归纳拓展】提问某物的高度时可以用“What’s the height f sth.?”或“Hw high is sth.?”。

❺ hate　v.憎恨;讨厌hate作动词,意为“憎恨;讨厌”,后接不定式或动名词作宾语。接不定式表示某一次具体的情况;接动名词表示习惯性的动作。I hate t g ut tnight.我讨厌今晚出去。I hate walking in the rain. 我讨厌在雨中行走。
❻ difficulty　n.困难;困境difficulty作抽象的“困难”讲时,是不可数名词;表示具体意义的“困难（如难事、难题）”时,是可数名词。常见搭配:（1）have difficulty/truble （in） ding sth.意为“在做某事方面有困难”。Sme graduates have difficulty in finding jbs nw.现在一些毕业生找工作有困难。（2）have difficulty with sth.意为“在某方面有困难”。Lucy has difficulty with her study.露西在学习上有困难。【针对训练】Did yu have any difficulty in　　　　 （find） the pst ffice? 
❼ present　 v.授予;呈递present 作动词,意为“授予;呈递”。present sb. with sth.=present sth. t sb.,意为“把某物给某人”。The swrd was presented by the family t the museum.这家人把宝剑捐赠给了博物馆。
