The fast eaters were 89 percent mre likely t have metablic syndrme than slw and nrmal eaters. Just 2. 3 percent f slw eaters received the diagnsis, cmpared t 11. 6 percent f fast eaters. But that’s nt all. Fast eaters als saw mre weight gain, larger waistlines, and higher bld sugar levels than slw eaters.
The researchers say gbbling makes it easier nt t take ntice f fullness befre yur bdy has a chance t signal yu t stp. “S when peple eat fast they are mre likely t vereat, ” said Takayuki Yamaji, MD, study authr and cardilgist at Hirshima University in Japan in a statement.
