We can see that the verbs are all used in the “-ing” frm. They are “the present cntinuus tense”, but they express future actins r plans. The Present Cntinuus Tense may be used t dente an actin that can be pre-planned r prearranged instead f the future indefinite in cllquial English. But please nte that, nt all verbs can be used in the “-ing” frm t express future actins. Such verbs as cme, g, leave, fly, walk, ride, drive, stay, meet, die, see, have, arrive etc. are mainly used in the “-ing” frm t express future actins.
The Present Cntinuus Tense fr future use
The present cntinuus tense can be used t express a plan r an arrangement.
现在进行时可用来表示一个在最近按计划或打算要进行的动作;通常带一个表将来的时间状语, 但有明 确的上下文时无须指出时间。
能用进行时表将来的动词:
g, cme, leave , start, arrive, give, return, slee p ,stay, play, d, take, get, see ff, travel, fly, drive, walk, reach, meet…
