Tibet lies n the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau f the suthwest brder f China. The average height f the whle regin is mre than 4,000 meters abve sea level, fr which Tibet is knwn as “Rf f the Wrld”. The highest peak f Tibet, als the highest in Himalayas and in the whle wrld, is Everest Peak, which is as high as 8,846.27 meters abve sea level.
Althugh a part f China, Tibet has a unique culture f all its wn. It is mainly inhabited by Tibetans, a minrity natinality f ld and mysterius peple. Turist attractins include the Ptala Palace in Lhasa, Jkhang Temple, and a number f Buddhist sacred places.
Tibet (Xi Zang in Chinese) is t the suth f Xin Jiang Uygur Autnmus Regin and Qing Hai Prvince, t the west f Sichuan, t the nrthwest f Yunnan and t the nrth f India and Nepal. Its ppulatin f 2.3 millin peple cme frm a variety f ethnic grups including Tibetan, Han, Mnba and Lhta. Its capital city is Lhasa. Nrthwest Tibet, mainly Qing Hai plateau, is hme t a variety f unusual and unique animals. Acrss the nrthern expanse f Tibet, yu can see vast grasslands where hrses, yak and sheep ram freely. The wrld's lwest valley, the Grand Yarlun-tzanp River Valley lies in east Tibet. It is freezing cld in mst time f the year. Mst turists cme t visit Tibet nly in the warmest seasns, June, July, August and early September.
