As the ppulatin f the planet increases, s des the number f hmes, businesses, parking lts, schls, airprts and radways. All these structures use electricity and need t be lighted. Humans demand these lights. They want their hmes mre cmfrtable and they want their streets safe. The prblem is that researchers are finding that all the light is having a negative effect n humans and wildlife as well.
Less than 10 years ag I drve t a thinly ppulated sectin f my twn, lay dwn in the middle f the rad and watched an attractive meter shwer (流星雨). The area was shrt f hmes, street lights and traffic. It has been lng knwn that tiny baby sea turtles becme lst and fllw lights n the shre instead f heading twards the sea.
Frtunately, light pllutin is ne f the easiest surces f pllutin that can be crrected withut a negative effect. Fllwing sme guidelines and a little searching n Ggle can give yu many ideas n hw t reduce yur cntributin t light pllutin.
