环节1 新课导入
1.Ask a student,“Have you ever been in a theatre? What did you watch?”通过和学生交谈,询问学生看过什么类型的电影。再问其他学生,“What do you know about making movies?”。
2.展示:利用多媒体呈现不同类型的影片片段,先让学生说出影片的名字,再归纳这些影片分别属于哪种类型的电影,逐个呈现新单词的中英文形式,学习新单词。What were first movies like?Let’s learn the new lesson:Moving Pictures.
设计意图:这样的活动使学生在轻松活跃的气氛中学习和掌握知识。
环节2
1. Have a discussion with the students about the two questions on the textbook.
2. Collect the answers from the students.
3. Ask the students to read the text by themselves and then do the exercises.
4. Ask two or three students to read this passage.
5. make a list of types of movies.Then add other types of movies.Ask one student to report his/her answer.
6. Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 1 in “Let’s Do It!”,and then repeat after the tape.
7. Students read the text and answer the questions in Exercise 2 in “Let’s Do It!”.
8. Show different kinds of movies:comedy,horror(scary),action,cartoon,suspense(thriller),fantasy,documentary,romance,science fiction,mystery,war,musicals and more.Let the students ask and answer about preferences and reasons.
9. Then do Exercise 3 on Page 85.
10. Do Exercise 4 and Exercise 5 in “Let’s Do It!” after class.

设计意图:通过一定数量的题目,检验学生对知识的掌握,让学生对这篇文章有更好的理解。
- 要点点拨
(1)be made in当后面接指地点的名词时,表示“在……地方制造”;当后面接时间的数词或名词时,表示“某物何时制造的或何时生产的”。
(2)thousands of数千,成千上万。表示不确切的数目。
(3)宾语补足语:某及物动词的宾语后面还需要有一个补足语,意思才完整,宾语和它的补足语构成复合宾语。而复合宾语的第一部分通常由名词或代词充当,第二部分表示第一部分的名词或代词的动作或身份、特征等,称为宾语补足语。
(1)名词/代词宾语+名词
The war made him a soldier.这场战争使他成为了一个士兵。(a soldier是宾语补足语)
(2)名词/代词宾格+形容词
New methods make the job easy.新方法使工作简单了。(easy是宾语补足语)
(3)名词/代词宾格+介词短语
I often find him at work.我经常看见他在工作。(at work是宾语补足语)
(4)名词/代词宾格+动词不定式
The teacher asks the students to close the windows.老师让学生关上窗户。(to close the windows是宾语补
足语)
(5)名词/代词宾格+分词
I saw a cat running across the road.我看见一只猫跑过马路。(running across the road是宾语补
足语)
