We were standing at the top of a church (教堂) tower. My father had brought me to this high tower in a small town not far from our home in Rome. I wondered why.

In North America, black bears walk around the wilderness (荒野) as they have done for thousands of years. These animals can weigh more than half a ton.
Black bears are omnivores (杂食动物), meaning they eat both meat and plants. This has a problem for black bears living in the parts of North America where winter lasts for many months. The plants die off during the winter, and there isn't enough to eat.

Once our teacher asked us to write a letter to a foreigner. We were told to introduce the Spring Festival in the letter. It not only helped me improve my writing skills but also provided a good chance to spread traditional Chinese culture.
In my opinion, it’s also a good choice to draw mind maps. It helps us to have a better understanding of the lessons. Besides, we can learn to sing English songs, since most of us love singing. In this way, our English as well as hobbies develops.
I hope we’ll have more creative English homework in the future.

作文评分标准参考中考英语作文评分标准：
1. 第一档（13-15分）
信息完整，表达流畅，无语言错误或基本无语言错误。
2. 第二档（10-12分）
信息基本完整，表达较流畅，有少量错误，但不影响意思表达。
3. 第三档(7-9分）
能传递部分信息，表达不够流畅，但句子基本可读。
4. 第四档（4-6分）
只能传递少量信息，表达不通顺，只有少量句子可读。
5. 第五档（1-3分）
只能传递个别信、息，表达不清楚，只有个别句子可读。
