    短语复习点拨:5. (be) the same size as … 与…一样大 (= be as big as) e.g. 他的个头只有我小指那么点大。He was the same size as my little finger. (He is as big as my little finger.) [P 50] 又: (be) the same clur as… “与……一样颜色”; (be) the same weight as… (=be as heavy as) “与…一样重” ; (be) the same age as… (=be as ld as) “与……一样岁数”; (be) the same height as… (=be as tall as) “与……一样高”; (be) the same length as… (=be as lng as) “与……一样长”; 如果笼统说 “与…一样”,只需说(be) the same as… 即可。 e.g. 我书包的颜色和我妹妹的一样贵。My schl bag is the same price as my sister’s.     短语复习点拨:6. an army f “一大群,一大批……”, 前面可加huge 表示程度,[搭配]an army f + 名词复数 “an army f+名词复数” 作主语时,谓语动词单、复数均可。 e.g. 我向下俯视,看到一大堆的小人。I lked dwn and saw a huge army f tiny peple.     短语复习点拨:7. ask fr “请求、寻求” e.g. 她正在犹豫该去哪里寻求帮助。She is wndering where t ask fr help.     Wh-wrd + t d 用法
    一、“疑问词 + 动词不定式” 可作主语、宾语或表语。 e.g. 西蒙忘记了何时该去见朋友。Simn frgt when t meet his friends. [宾语] [P 54] 在哪儿举行会议是个问题。Where t hld the meeting is a questin. [主语] [注意] 所有疑问词都可以组成这个结构,唯独why不可以, 而不是疑问词的whether(“是否”)却可以。 e.g. 是走是留他无法决定。He culdn’t decide whether t leave r stay. Why只用于疑问句:Why (d…)? / Why nt (d…)? e.g.为何要做这事,她会向我们解释。She will explain t us why we shuld d this. [不可表达成 why t d this]
    二、可以跟“疑问词 + 动词不定式”作宾语的动词有: advise (sb), ask (sb), decide, discuss, find ut, frget, knw, learn, remember, say, see(“明白”), shw (sb), teach (sb), tell (sb), think, understand, wnder, hear, explain, 等。 e.g. 学生们问老师什么时候上交练习册。The students asked their teacher when t hand in their wrkbks. 米莉演示给我们看下一步该怎么做。Millie shwed us what t d next. 我不知道怎么写. I dn’t knw hw t write it. [注意] 这几个动词中,advise、ask、shw、teach、tell是双宾语动词,不要遗漏 “sb.”
    三、部分疑问词有时是形容词性质,可以与名词构成疑问词短语后用于这个结构 ,它们是: what, which, whse, hw many, hw much等。 e.g. 我不知道选哪个题目。I dn’t knw which tpic t chse. 走之前,你得问一下你母亲,该带多少现金。Befre ging, yu shuld ask yur mther hw much cash t take. 他不知道该向学生们展示谁的书法。 He wndered whse handwriting t shw t the students.
    四、部分 “be + adj.”结构后面也可以跟 “疑问词 + 动词不定式” 这样的结构是:be clear/sure e.g. 我不确定走哪条路。 I am nt sure which way t take. 哪个先做我一清二楚的。 I am clear which t d first.五、知识拓展 除了why之外,其他所有疑问词引导的宾语从句都可以简化为“疑问词 + 动词不定式” e.g. Have yu decided which yu shuld chse first? =Have yu decided which t chse first? The bk teaches yu hw yu can lk after yur pet. =The bk teaches yu hw t lk after yur pet.
    情态动词 must 与have t用法
    概念的差别:must 表示主语“有义务”、“必须”做某事,强调说话人的主观看法,主要用于肯定句和疑问句;must 还可以表示肯定推测,意思是“一定”。 e.g.我必须努力学习功课。I must wrk hard at my lessns. have t 强调的是客观的需要,指形势所迫,意思是“不得不”、“无奈”。 e.g.我得在家照看妈妈,因为她病了。I have t lk after my mther at hme because she is ill.  天快黑了。他现在得回家了。It is getting dark. He has t g hme nw.
    结构形式的差别:must没有人称和单复数变化,它的否定形式是must nt (缩写为mustn’t), “不该,不许”, 表示禁止。Must表示 “需要”时,否定为dn’t have t或needn’t; must表示 “一定”时,否定为can’t. e.g. 上课时你不许吵闹。Yu mustn’t make any nise in class. —Must I d it tday? —Yes, yu must. / N, yu needn’t. 他肯定不在家。He can’t be at hme. (用mustn’t为错)have t 有人称和数的变化,有几种时态变化。have t的否定形式是d/did/will nt have t 或者needn’t. e.g. 你不用浇花。土是潮湿的。Yu dn’t have t /needn’t water the flwers. The earth is wet.

    1. A gd read 一本好的读物 [P 48] read n. “读物” v. “阅读”(常用于看书、看报等) reader n. “读者;读本” e.g. 一本好读物像一个好朋友。A gd read is like a great friend. e.g. 你读过多少英语书?Hw many English bks have yu read?
    2. Have yu decided what t d with these bks, Hb? 霍波, 你已经决定了怎样处理这些书吗? [P48] decide vt. “决定,抉择”, 后跟名词、代词、不定式、从句。 e.g. 她决定去留学。She decided t study abrad. 句中“疑问词+ 动词不定式”结构作宾 语,该结构中的疑问词可以是what、wh、where、when、hw、which等,唯一why不可用。 e.g. 我不知道如何逃走。 I did nt knw hw t get away.
    3. After ur ship crashed against the rcks, I swam as fast as I culd. 在我们的船触礁之后,我拼命地游。 [P 50] as far as I culd “尽我所能的远”,=as far as pssible 关于 “as…as”,我们可使用“as + adj. + as ” 结构,可使用“as + adv. + as ” 结构,也可使用“as + adj. + n. + as” 结构。 e.g. 他英语说的和你一样流利。He speaks English as fluently as yu. 这没有我想象的那么难。It’s nt as difficult as I thught. 人们尽可能多地把钱花在帮助病人上。 Peple spent as much mney as pssible helping the sick.
    4. I fell dwn n the beach and went t sleep. 我倒在沙滩上睡着了。 [P 50] fall dwn “(人)摔倒; (建筑物)倒塌” e.g. 几个月内这房屋也许会倒塌。 The huse might fall dwn in a few mnths. 人们到处跑而玻璃碎片不停掉落。 Peple ran in all directins while pieces f glass were falling dwn.
    [拓展]fall behind (sb/sth) “落后; 落在…后面” e.g. 她很快就落在别人的后面。She sn fell behind thers.
    5. It mved up ver my stmach and neck until it was standing near my face.他走过我的肚皮和脖子直到最后站在我的脸跟前。[P 50] mve up ver ne’s stmach 在某人的肚子上移动 stmach 复数 :stmachs e.g. 一个小人在他的肚子上移动。A tiny man mved up ver his stmach. [搭配] mve alng 向前移动

Hw lng can I keep the bk? 这本书我能借多久?[P 58] brrw vt. “借(入)”,是短暂性动词,可用于各种时态,但brrw不能与表达时间段的状语连用。 keep vt. “保留;保存” ,是延续性动词,可以与表达时间段的状语连用,在本句中用来替代brrw[不限时态]。 e.g. 那本书你上次借了多久?Hw lng did yu keep the bk? 这本书我可以借多久?Hw lng can I keep the bk? 这本书你借了多久?Hw lng have yu kept the bk? 这本书你打算借多久?Hw lng will yu keep the bk?
