    【教学过程】
    Step 1: Lead-in
    1. Greet the students in English.
    2. Speak ut the wrds learned in last perid.
    3. Revise the English letters.
    4. Play a guessing game
    Describe sme bjects and let students guess what they are.

    Ss:It’s an range.
    T:What’s that in English?
    Ss:It’s a map.

    Step 2: Presentatin
    1. Teach activity 3a
    (1)T: Please pen yur bks and turn t page S7. Lk at the pictures in 3a. What can yu see?
    Ss: I can see a ruler, a map...
    (2) T: Nw, I’ll play the recrding twice fr yu t listen. The first time, yu just listen and number the pictures. The secnd time, yu can check yur answers.
    2. Teach activity 3b
    (1) Play the recrding fr the students t listen and ask them t cmplete the wrds under the pictures in 3a
    T:Nw please lk at the pictures in 3a again. There are sme uncmpleted wrds under them. Yu can listen t the recrding and cmplete the wrds.
    (2) Play the recrding again and check the answers.

    3. Teach activity 3c
    (1) Play the tape f the cnversatin fr students t listen, and ask them t pay attentin t the prnunciatin and intnatin.
    (2) Practice the cnversatin in pairs fr several minutes.
    (3) Invite sme pairs t act ut in frnt f the whle class.
    4. Teach activity 3d
    (1)Let students lk at the wrds in this part.
    (2)Ask students t listen t sme cnversatins and number the wrd they hear.
    (3)Play the tape twice fr the students t listen and number.
    (4)Check the answers.
    5. Teach activity 3e
    (1)Ask students t read the sample cnversatin tgether.
    (2)Lead them t lk at the picture s that they can see hw many things there are in the picture.
    (3)Put students in pairs t make cnversatins using the things in the picture.
    (4)Leave them several minutes t d it.
    (5)As they wrk, mve arund the rm, ffering help as needed.
    (6)Invite sme pairs t act ut their cnversatins.

    1. Teach activities 4a
    (1) Ask students t pen their bks and turn t page S8. Fill in the blanks with the missing letters, and pay attentin t the capital letters and small letters.
    (2) Ask ne r tw students t read alud the letters.
    (3) Check the answers. Crrect mistakes if any.

    (1)Ask students t read thrugh the instructin f 4d s that they can knw hw t d this activity.
    (2)Students read the wrds in the first clumn.
    (3)Help students t read the wrds in Clumn 2.
    (4)Invite sme students t read them fr the whle class and explain the meaning f the new wrds.
    (5)Get students t turn t Page 86. Lk at the wrds in Starter Unit 2. Listen and read. Pay attentin t the vwel sunds:/ai/./i/./әu/,/ɔ/,/a:/,/ɔ:/.
