    There have been many great inventins r things that change the way we live. The first great inventin is the ne that is still very imprtant tday—the wheel. This makes it easier t carry heavy things and t travel lng distances.
    Fr hundreds f years after that there were few inventins that as much effect as the wheel. Then in the early 1800s the wrld started t change. There was little unknwn land left in the wrld. Peple didn't have t explre much any mre. They began t wrk in rder t make life better.
    In the secnd half f the 19th century, many great inventins were made. Amng them were the camera, the light and the radi. These all play a big part in ur daily life tday.
    The first part f the 20th century saw mre great inventins. The helicpter in 1909, mvies with sund in 1926, the cmputer in 1928, jet planes in 1930. It was als a time when a new material was first made—Nyln (尼龙),which came ut in 1935. It changed the kind f clthes peple wre.
    The middle part f the 20th century brught new ways t help peple get ver diseases. They wrked very well. They made peple healthier and allwed them t live lnger. By the 1960s mst peple culd expect t live t be at least 60.
    By this time mst peple in develped cuntries had a very gd life. Of curse new inventins cntinued t be made. But man nw had a desire (渴望) t explre again. The Earth was knwn t man but stars were nt. Man began lking fr ways t g int space. Russia, United States, China and Japan have made their wn steps int space.
