    Last night ne f my Chinese friendstk me t a cncert f Chinese flkmusic. The piece which was played n the erhu especially mved me. The music wasstrangely beautiful, but under the beauty I sensed a strng sadness and pain. Thepiece had a simple name,“Erquan Yingyue”(Mn Reflected n Secnd Spring), but itwas ne f the mst mving pieces f music that I’ve ever heard. The erhu sundeds sad that I almst cried alng with it as I listened. Later I lked up the histry f “Erquan Yingyue”, and I began t understand the sadness in the music.
