    Analysis f key items and difficulties f teaching:
    Functin: intrductin abut smene.
    Listening: Students can understand thers’ greetings by listening.
    Speaking: Students can intrduce themselves/their friends t thers.
    Character building:
    Mtivate students’ interest in learning English. Make friends with all students.
    Teaching steps(教学步骤)
    1.vcabulary study:
    Step 1: Play the recrding and have them pint ut the wrds and phrases in Activity 1.
    Step 2: Play the recrding again and have them read after the tape.
    Step 3: Have the students match the phrases and pictures in PPT.
    Step 4: Have the students match the phrases and pictures in Activity6 and check their answer with their partner.
    2. Dialgue study:
    Step 1: Practice the dialgue with the whle class and have them make crrespnding reacts.
    Step 2: Have students t practise the previus dialgue with their partner.
    3.play a game.
    Invite Ss t practise the dialgues:
    1) S1: Excuse me, hw can I get t the museum?
    S2: G straight and turn left at the first crssrads. It’s between the shp and the pst ffice.
    2) S3: Excuse me, hw can I get t the schl?
    S4: G straight and turn right at the first crssrads. And it’s n yur right.
    3) T: Excuse me, hw can I get t the supermarket?
    S: G straight and turn left at the secnd crssrads.It is next t the hspital.
    ...
    4. Presentatin.
    1.Shw a picture with Eric, let Ss guess what Eric wants t say t us.
    The answer is “Next t the hspital.” r “Acrss frm the hspital.” Then help them t say: “Next t the hspital.” r “Acrss frm the hspital.”
    Hmewrk:
    根据这节课所学句型编写一段对话。
