T: hw abut this ne? What day is it tday? (pint t Friday under number 3.)[Ss: it’s Friday.] What d yu d n Friday? [Ss: I pay sccer n Friday.]
Using the bk
T: let’s listen t the tape.
Play the tape fr number 1, then pause.
T: which day f the week is it? D yu knw? Is it this ne?(pint t Mnday .)
While Ss are respnding make a circle mtin arund the ‘It’s Wednesday.’ sentence.
T: number 1 is “it’s Wednesday.”
Cntinue with the ther numbers, pausing after each ne and letting Ss repeat each sentence.

Getting ready
Put picture cards9-15 n the bard.
T: what day is it tday? [Ss: it’s (Wednesday ).]
T: what d yu d n (Wednesday)?(Pint t ne student.)[S1: I (play baseball ) n (Wednesday ).]
Repeat, getting answers frm varius Ss.
Using the bk
T: nw, let’s read the questins.
Have Ss read the questins ut lud.
Put Ss int pairs r small grups t ask answer the questins.

Have Ss cmplete their grids, writing the key wrds in the bxes.
If time permits, have several pairs share their answers with the class.
