    1. be brn withbe brn意为“出生”,be brn with意为“与生俱来,天生”。如:He was brn n April 15th. He was brn with a gd memry.
    2. depend ndepend n意为“依靠,依赖”,也可以用rely n来替换,根据语境不同也可意为“取决于”,相当于be up t。如:-- Will yu g shpping tmrrw? -- It depends n the weather. (It’s up t the weather.)
    3. in cmmn意为“共有”,一般会用have smething/much/a lt in cmmn来表示“有共同之处”。cmmn除了这个意思以外,还有“普通的”意思。如:His name was Hansen, a cmmn name in Nrway.
    4. be interested in …意为“对…感兴趣”,可转换为have interest in …区分-ed和-ing结尾的形容词:-ed:“感到…”,用来描述对某事的感觉-ing:“令人感到…”,用来描述某物的性质或给人的感觉类似的还有:bred 感到无聊的bring 令人感到无聊的excited 兴奋的exciting 令人兴奋的

    6. cnnect… with…表示与物品的连接、相连,cnnect后通常用介词t,表示关系方面的联系时,一般用with。如:Will yu cnnect the wire t the televisin? He’s cnnected with ur schl.7. fr example意为“例如”,后接句子;such as也能表示“例如”,但是后面须加单词或词组。
    8. think abut意为“考虑”,同义词为cnsider,think ver意为“仔细考虑”,可以用think abut…carefully来替换 。9. even if意为“即使,尽管”,引导让步状语从句,意思与even thugh相当。
    10. unless意为“除非;如果不”,引导条件状语从句,后接肯定的陈述句,可以转换为if+否定陈述句,若主句为一般将来时,从句要用一般现在时,如:We will hld the sprts meeting if it desn’t rain tmrrw. (= … unless it rains tmrrw)11. keep practicingkeep意为“保持”,后接名词或动名词。区分keep sb. frm ding sth. 意为“阻止某人做某事”。
    12. make mistakes意为“犯错”,也可以说成make a mistake,表示在某一方面出错时,常与介词in搭配。13. succeed v.success n.successful adj.用法:succeed in ding sth,意为“成功做某事”,也可以用manage t d或be able t d来表示。
    14. learn frm意为“从…学到;向…学习”,注意介词搭配。15. take ntes意为“记笔记”,take的意思比较多,比如take phts中take意为“拍摄”,take medicine中take意为“服用”等。
    16. explain the infrmatin t anther studentexplain sth. t sb.意为“向某人解释…”,explain的名词为explanatin,注意变化过程中动词中的i要去掉。17. ask questins词组中questin为名词,意为“问题”,而本段最后的cme frm questining的questin是动词,意为“问问题;质疑”。
