根据“he hadn’t seen his new puppy fr ver an hur”可知,“他没有看到小狗”这件事是Jhn突然意识到的,故应选D。
根据“Mm, I can’t find Charlie!”
His mther heard 2 in his vice as he called her a secnd time.‘Mm, I can’t find Charlie!’”
下文“Their calls were nt cmpletely wasted, thugh.”
give up 放弃;lk fr寻找;run after追逐;take care f照顾。根据下文“But even with five peple nw searching the twn’s streets”可知,Jhn的妈妈以及邻居Je和他的两个女儿都来帮助Jhn找小狗。
根据上文“But even with five peple nw searching the twn’s streets, they had n luck.”
When they gt hme, he made a pster with a pht f Charlie.”
根据下文“It was Charlie.”
根据上文“When they gt hme, he made a pster with a pht f Charlie. Then Jhn heard a 23 and pened his bedrm dr.It was Charlie.”和“Charlie had been 24 in the bedrm this whle time, sleeping”可知,Charlie被关在了卧室里面,故选A。
