教材分析:本课的教学内容为EEC小学英语课本四年级英语下Lesson 8 In the bathroom第二课时,课文主要是学习What are you doing?句型,之前,学生接触过现在进行时的简单句型,对现在进行时有了初步认识,本课是对现在进行时的拓展及实际应用,并用以前学过的动词进行简单的表述,让学生能将所学内容与生活联系起来,真正的运用到生活中去。
教学目标:
1.知识与能力目标:通过本节课学习,学生能够听、说、读、写、使用简单的动词。能够掌握并运用重点句型Where is…? What is … doing? 及其答语;
2.过程与方法目标:能够将所学单词、句子运用到实际生活中;学生的英语素养及交际意识得以提高。
3. 情感目标:培养学生的合作意识、参与意识和创新精神,并进一步提高学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性,帮助学生树立自信心,形成良好的学习策略。
教学重难点:
1. 练习What are you watching? 句型,引申学习现在进行时的结构。
2. 现在分词playing, watching, drawing, sitting, standing, drinking, eating, swimming, skating, cooking, writing, running, walking, reading, climbing, flying, singing, dancing, sleeping, jumping, making a cake, driving a car, riding a bike, playing the piano, playing the violin, playing football, playing basketball……的学习。
3.如何将所学单词、句子运用到实际生活中是本课难点。

教学过程:
一、导入新课
a. Warming up: Follow me
b. Greeting: Good morning, class.
c. Let’s have a free talk.
(Hello, how are you? How old are you? What color do you like? …… )
d. Review some words:bathroom, bedroom……
Sing a song: Follow me
多媒体出示动词现在分词
work—working
eat—eating
watch—watching
make—making
read—reading
1)师生互动(Students do the actions.)
2)师生问候
Students: I’m fine, thank you.
I’m eleven.
3)听一首歌曲
4)教师改编歌曲
二、新授:
一)、一问一答的形式进行chant,先由教师问学生答,在学生熟悉之后,由学生问学生答。
T: Chant中出现的是什么时态?
Ss:现在进行时。(请同学们说一说看到的动词)
二)、Listening Fun
1、引导学生说出已知动词。
2、运用课件,以图片提出问题。
T: Look at the pictures, one ask and one answer.
Ss: What is he doing?
Ss: He is swimming.
(出示三组图片,通过一问一答的形式使学生更了解句型)
3、课文学习。
1)、听磁带并跟读,同桌之间以对话的形式进行训练,在听之前为学生提出问题,请同学们思考。
2)、提出有层次性的问题,先是两个单一的问题,分别询问在哪里和做什么,第三个问题将两个问题合并,要求学生用一个答案回答出在哪里和做什么,加深知识。
① Where is Ken?
Ken is in the living room.
② What is he doing?
He is watching TV.
③ Where is dad? What is dad doing?
He is working in his room.
4、扩展知识。
T: Look, this is Ken’s house. How many rooms are there?
(教师出示课件,让学生说一说)
Ss: 5.
T: Can you guess what is this?
Ss: Bathroom.(拼读)
T: Maybe.
Ss: Bedroom. (拼读)
T: Maybe.
(学生猜测房间名称,一边猜一边复习单词,进行拼读练习;同时每个房间出现人物,让学生自己提出问题并进行解答,将课本知识升级,将前面复习的一些动词融入其中,扩展知识,让学生懂得运用)
三)、Practice:
出示两组阅读练习,让学生在读完后回答问题,巩固所学知识。
(朗读分成自由读和展示读两个阶段;读完后请同桌之间配合一个问一个答。)
1、 Ken: Where are you , mom?
Mom: I’m in the kitchen. Where are you ,Ken?
Ken: I’m reading a book in the living room.
I want to drink some water, mom.
Mom: OK! Here you are.
2、 LiLi: Where is Ken?
Betty: He is playing computer games in the bedroom.
LiLi: Is Jimmy with him?
Betty: No, he’s washing in the bathroom.
1)、完成任务,实践运用
2)、仿写对话,请同学们用自己身边熟悉的人,使用自己会的一些动词。
T: What are you doing?
Ss: We are studying English in the classroom.
Listen and speak. Chant, chant!
Do the exercise book.
三、 Sum Up:
T: What did you learn in this class?
Ss:Read and say.
四、Homework:
Listen read and copy the new words and dialogue.
