    一、Aims:
    1. Learn a famus traditinal stry and tell the pupils t be an hnest man.
    2. Learn t tell smething in the past.
    二、Fcus:
    1. Vcabulary: shut, wlf, nce upn a time, lk after, sheep, bred, village, everyne, field, laugh, lie
    2. Sentence pattern: There was a by. He lked after sheep.
    The by ran t the village.

    tape-recrder, cards, picture, cmputer, bk

    = 1 \* ROMAN I. Warming up and Revisin
    1. sing a sng“at the factry”
    2. revise sme verbs with the past simple
    = 2 \* ROMAN II. Leading-in
    1. tell the students this is a famus Eurpean fable. Find ut if any f the children knw the stry
    2. let the students talk abut the stry as they can and write new vcabulary n the bard
    = 3 \* ROMAN III. Listening & Reading Activities
    1. play the tape
    2. play it again pausing after each utterance and perfrm a simple gesture t indicate the meaning, fr example, lking bred, being a wlf, etc.
    3. play the tape again and pause fr the class t repeat each utterance
    ⅳ. repeat this activity
    = 4 \* ROMAN IV. Further Develpment
    1. encurage the class t prduce the whle stry
    2. let the Ss t tell the fable in turns
    3. ask sme questins accrding t this dialgue

    1. recite and act the dialgue freely
    2. cpy the vcabulary f this lessn fur times
    1.sing tgether with the actin

    ②listen and understand the dialgue first time
    2. pint t each picture and elicit as much infrmatin as pssible and read the wrds in different ways

    3. read and fllw the tape with the actin
    ⅳthe individual students repeat the utterances
