I. 形容词(adj.)的功能及位置Suzhu is an attractive city. When ging sightseeing, yu can always find smething beautiful there. 大多数形容词和副词有三个等级： 原级 比较级 最高级

温馨提示：类似 slwly, quickly 这样的双音节词，虽然也是辅 音字母加y结尾，但这里的 -ly 是表示副词的后缀，因 此比较级和最高级的构成是在单词前加mre和mst。2. 英语中有一类表语形容词，它指的是那些只用于连 系动词后作表语，而不能用于名词前作定语的形容词 主要有以下两类： 某些以a-开头的形容词 afraid 害怕的 alive 活着的 alne 单独的 asleep 睡着的 awake 醒着的 alike 相似的 若要用作定语且具有以上意义，可改用其他形容词： 误：an asleep child， an ashamed girl， an alive pet 正：a sleeping child， a shy girl， a living pet 某些表示健康的形容词 fine 健康的　ill 有病的　well 身体健康的 　　
形容词和副词原级的用法：
2. … as + 原级 + as … “……和……一样”
Yu are as tall as me. = Yu are as tall as I (am).He has as many bks as I (have).This cmputer runs as fast as that ne.
3.… nt as(s) + 原级 + as … “……不如/没有……”
This jacket is nt as(s) cheap as that ne.She has nt as(s) many bks as I have.Henry desn’t study as(s) hard as his elder brther.
注：as在这里既可作介词又可作连词。作介词时，后接人称代词的宾格。作连词时，后接一个省略的比较状语从句。
用来直接描述人物或动作。 Jhn is a tall by. Rabbits run fast. Our cuntry is beautiful and strng.
形容词和副词比较级的用法：
1. … 比较级 + than … “……比……更……”
Yu are taller than me. = Yu are taller than I (am). I dn’t think his writing is mre beautiful than yurs.
3. 比较级 + and + 比较级 “越来越……”
The weather is getting warmer and warmer. Our schl is getting mre and mre beautiful.
4. the + 比较级…,the + 比较级… “越……,越……”

2. 比较级 ( 特殊疑问句)，… r …? “哪个更……?”

5. 可修饰比较级的副词有：much, a lt, far, a little, a bit, even, still, any等

形容词和副词最高级的用法：
…the + 最高级 + (名词) + 表示范围的短语或从句 “……是最……”

3.最高级 ( 特殊疑问句)，…，… r …? “哪个更……?”
