◆prefer作动词,意为“更喜欢;宁可;宁愿(选择)”,相当于like…better,后面可跟名词、动词的-ing形式或不定式。其过去式、过去分词均为preferred,现在分词为preferring。 ◆prefer的常见搭配形式有:
拓展 : prefer t d sth. rather than d sth.同义句式为wuld rather d sth. than d sth.。如: He preferred t die rather than steal.=He preferred dying t stealing.=He wuld rather die than steal.他宁可死也不愿去盗窃。
如:I prefer bananas t apples.与苹果相比,我更喜欢香蕉。

◆suppse sb.+名词/形容词(宾语补足语)。如: I never suppsed him a her.我从来没有认为他是一个英雄。 ◆be suppsed t意为“应该;被认为;理应”, 后接动词原形,相当于shuld或ught t。如: Yu are suppsed t be here at nine.你应该在9点钟到达这里。
