教材分析:
Unit 3的主题为Health. Lesson 2 How are you feeling today? 的语言功能是能够运用所学语言描述生病后的身体状况以及给别人提一些健康方面的合理建议.谈论的话题贴近学生的生活,使学生能够从自身生活感受出发,在语言环境中感知、学习知识,积极运用知识.在快乐的学习中意识到养成健康的生活习惯很重要,同时也进行了关心家人和朋友的情感渗透.
学情分析:
本课的教学对象是五年级学生.通过四年的英语学习, 他们已经积累了一些英语学习的经验,具备了一定英语思维的习惯和能力,对英语学习产生了浓厚的兴趣他们的听说读写能力已经初步形成,。通过前一节课的学习,学生已储备的句型有:I don’t feel well. I feel… I have….Don't worry. You’ll be all right. 本课在此基础上学习问句How are you feeling today?及答语,前后知识的衔接将会很自然,而且教学难度不会太大。因此,教师在课堂上要引导学生主动去学习,多创造机会让学生通过小组合作、听音思考、师生对话交流等多种方法去获得知识,同时进行语言的拓展与延伸,使学生能在真实的语言环境中去学英语、用英语,真正提高孩子的语用能力.
教学目标:
1. 知识目标:
能听懂、会说、认读单词:much ,better, lesson, rest, soon,以及词组get well,on time,keep away,并结合句型灵活运用。能够听懂、会说、认读句型:“How are you feeling
today?” “Much better.”Take the medicine on time and drink some water. Take a good rest. You’ll get well soon. An apple a day keeps the doctor away.并结合生活实际进行运用。
2.能力目标:
1)学生能够结合生活实际正确的表达和交流有关生病的话题及提出合理的健康建议。
2)培养学生自主获取信息的能力及英语思维对话能力。
3.情感目标:
1)在学习中,培养学生的自信,让学生敢于表达自己的想法。
2)教育学生养成健康的生活习惯,并学会关心他人的健康。
教学重难点:
1)熟练掌握本节课的句型,并结合生活合理运用。
2)结合信息,引导学生给别人提出合理的健康建议。
教具准备: 多媒体, 单词卡片和图片
教学过程:
I. Warming up
1. Greetings and free talk.
2. Let’s enjoy this song. :An apple a day keeps the doctor away
Learn: keep away( 卡片)
(设计意图:通过师生的生活对话引出我们生活中一句谚语,以欣赏歌曲导入,既调节本课气氛,让学生在轻松愉快的课堂学习,同时学习本课一个重点句子:An apple a day keeps the doctor away,以及词组keep away.
Ⅱ.Presentation
1. Watch the screen, look at the pictures of lesson

T: Is Wang Hong in good health? What’s wrong with Wang Hong?
But how is she feeling today? Let’s go on learning Lesson
2.——Let’s ask Wang Hong together. How are you feeling today,Wang Hong?
(设计意图:因为本节课的知识是上节课内容的延续,所以呈现环节就以师生对话的形式复习Lesson1的语言知识点,导出新知。)
2.Watch the screen, look at the pictures of lesson 2,try to answer the question.
T: Where is Wang Hong now?
Wang Hong is at home now. She doesn’t go to school. Her mum ,teacher and friends are worried about her. (设计意图:看课文图片整体感知故事发生的背景及主要人物,为学习新课做好准备)
3. Watch the Cartoon, try to choose the right answer.
Q: How are you feeling today,Wang Hong?
A: Much better. B: Very bad. Learn:much ( mum lunch)

4. T: Wang Hong is feeling much better now. We hope she will get well soon. Her mum, teacher and friends give her some good advice, what’s the advice?
First: Open your books, P26, take out your pencils, listen and underline the answers. Here are 3 questions. (Show the Qs on the Bb)
Second: Discuss the answers in groups.
(设计意图:看课本,通过听课文录音,划出3个问题的答案,也就是本节课的重点句子,并在小组内交流,培养孩子自主合作学习的能力)
3) Check up.Q1: What’s mum’s advice?
Learn: on time (卡片) , (句子与图片)You should…… (设计意图:在解决第一个问题同时,利用多媒体又学习新词组on time及它的用法)

(这一环节生词较多,运用语音规律帮助学生记忆单词,便于学生掌握,同时让孩子当小老师,锻炼孩子的自学能力.)

2. Pair work, you can choose one picture and talk about it. (设计意图:出示两幅图片,先师生示范,然后让学生有所选择,同位讨论后,分别展示。主要针对目标语句How are you feeling today?...Take a good rest... 等进行操练,检测学生对句型的运用能力。)
IV. Production
1. Enjoy a short play
(设计意图:欣赏短剧对本课的知识进行拓展,开阔学生的视野。让学生能够在生活实际中灵活运用本课知识点进行交流,提高学生的语用能力。)
2. Enjoy some pictures ,Know about the way of healthy life. (设计意图:欣赏健康图片的同时,培养学生能够养成健康的生活习惯,同时为下节课的知识学习进行简单渗透.)
