Step 1 Warming up 

1、Greetings. 

T: Good morning boys and girls. I’m very glad to have English with you today. I think this class we’ll have a good time. Do you think so?

T: First, let’s enjoy some pictures about our neighbourhood. Are you ready? Let’s go and have a look.

T: What can you see in the pictures?

S: There is a ...... There are many.....  

T: Is there a sport centre/garden/hospital ?

S: Yes,it’s beside the supermarket.

T: What other things can you see in the picture?

S: ......(学生可能回答不出老师预设的答案,教师教授)

T: There are many people in the neighbourhood.

教授单词people，利用apple——people   （指名读）

T: What are they doing?

S: They’re......

T: They can do many things in the neighbourhood. They are enjoying themselves.

教授单词themselves     （read it one by one）

T: We can also say: They are having a good time.

T: So .They’re having lots of fun.

教授词组lots of      （男女生，大组读单词）

Step 2  Presentation 

1We know People are having lots of fun. What about our friend Li Ming Jenny and Jack. They are in the new neighbourhood. Are they having lots of fun?

This is our new lesson “They’re having lots of fun.”Please turn to page38. First let’s listen to the tape. Listen and find Are they having lots of fun?

第一遍听课文解决Are they having lots of fun?

学生说出Yes, they are.

2、教师接着提问，Why are they having lots of fun? What are they doing in the neighbourhood? Next, let’s read the text by yourselves. Read and underline.?

  1)What are the women doing under the tree?

教师借助课本情景图讲解单词women,并区分单复数，单数woman,复数women.

  2)What are the people doing?

  3)What is Danny doing?

学生通过阅读划线，一一找出答案。

T: They’re having lots of fun.

3But where’s Jack and Jenny? What are they doing? Read the text again and fill in blanks.

1)Jenny tries to             them.

教授单词follow.            （指名读）

教师可随机提问学生，Do you want to follow them?

3、Listen and imitate.

听音跟读课文、同位练习朗读课文、分段指名读课文。
