Language Pints
（1）ill 指“生病”，可作表语，一般不作定语。ill 如果作定语，则意为“坏的；有害的”。
His mther is ill. 他的妈妈生病了。
There is a sick baby in the rm. 在房间里有一个生病的婴儿。（sick作定语）Li Ming has been sick fr tw weeks. 李明病了两周了。（sick作表语）
（2）sick 意为“生病的”，既可以作定语，也可以作表语。
当sick意为 “恶心的；想吐的”时, 用作表语或补足语。
The smell made him sick. 这种气味使他恶心。
S 意为“也是；也一样”，以 s 开头的句子，说明前面的内容也适用于后者，常用倒装句“s + be / have / 助动词 / 情态动词 ＋ 主语”。
