    Ants knw when an earthquake is abut t strike, researchers have discvered. Their behavir changes significantly prir t the quake and they resume nrmal functining nly a day after it. Gabriele Berberich f the University Duisburg-Essen in Germany presented these findings n Thursday at the Eurpean Gesciences Unin annual meeting in Vienna accrding t LiveScience.
    Berberich and her clleagues discvered that red wd ants preferred t build their clnies right alng active faults in Germany. They cunted 15,000 munds (土堆))lining the faults. These faults are the places where the earth vilently bursts in earthquakes.
    Using a special camera that tracked changes in activity. Berberich and her clleagues tracked the ants rund the clck fr three years, 2016 t 2019.
