Then show them the wall picture for ‘ listen and say’ pm Students’ Book page 42. Activity 2Put the pictures of a gift, a card, a firecracker and firework on the blackboard. Have the students discuss the things they would like to receive on New Year’s Day. e.g. T: New Year’s Day is coming. Look at these things. What do you want? T: Oh, it’s a firecracker. On New Year’s Day, many people like to set off firecrackers. A firecracker  for you.   Listen to the song. Look at the wall picture.                 S: This one. (points to a picture) S: Thank you.          While-task procedureActivity1Have the students listen to and repeat after the dialogue on Student’s Book page 42. Activity 2Have the students repeat the dialogue on Student’s Book page 42 after you, imitating different people’s voices. Activity 3Have the students complete the dialogue with you. Activity 3Have the students work in groups to make a New Year card. Then have them take turns explaining how to make one. Activity 4Have the students work in groups of four and make a short dialogue.
