Secondly⑳although_the_region_has_plenty_of_rain,_the mountains are steep  the soil is shallow. During the rainy season, it is along these waterways that_rainwater_moves_down_the_mountains _into_the_terraces. The sun heats the water  turns it into vapour. This forms clouds from which_rain_falls_down_onto_the_mountain_terraces_once_again. This knowledge is passed down through families, which_means that_new_generations_continue_to_use_ancient_methods_of agriculture_to_maintain_the_terraces.
