    2.Learn t use the sentences such as“I'm cncerned nw they are in danger.I want t knw the reasns/why./What can we d t prtect them?
    3. Learn frm the stars like Prince William and Ya Ming and enhance the awareness f prtecting wildlife.
    4. Guide students t try t put frward the slutins t the prblems f wildlife prtectin and then discuss them with partners and present the results f discussin.
    5. Master the prnunciatin f stressed syllables.

    Step1 Leading-in
    1. Shw the pening page f the unit and ask students t describe what they see in the picture and
    hw these animals relate t the title f the unit.
    2. Read the qute n this page: When the buying stps, the killing can t. ---Wild Aid
    What ther endangered animals can yu think f when reading this qute?
    Step2 Pre-listing
    1. Ask students t lk at three psters and describe what they see in the pster and what message they cnvey?
    2. What message d these 3 psters share?
    3. Which ne mves yu mst? Why?
    Step3 Listening
    1.Read the text and try t fill in the blanks befre listening. Then Listen and check yur answers.
    What n Earth Are We Ding t Our Planet?
    Our planet’s ________ is dying ut at an alarming rate. Between150-200 species are becming extinct every day. This mass extinctin is caused by hunting, habitat ______, and pllutin. We must make peple aware f the prblem and help _______ the endangered wildlife befre it’s t late!
    2. Listen t the secnd part and take ntes.

    1.Lk at the pictures f 3 different kinds f animals. D sme research n them based n these questins:

    2) What is being dne t help them?
    3) With what yu’ve fund ut, make a shrt speech abut any ne f them.
    2. Yu can rganize the infrmatin in this way:
    I’m cncerned abut… (an animal)
    They are… (prblems)
    Sme measures are being taken t help them. (measures)
    3.Read the fllwing cnversatin as an example.
    A: I’m cncerned abut the African elephants. What d yu knw abut them?
    B: Well, I knw that they’re being hunted and their habitat is getting smaller, s they’re in danger f extinctin. Elephants need large living spaces, s it’s difficult fr them t adapt t the changes.
    A: That’s terrible. What measures are being taken t help them?
    B: The authrities are under pressure t build elephant parks and tell peple nt t buy elephant prducts.
    Step5 Prnunciatin
    1.Read all these wrds and separate the syllables first.

    We practiced separating wrds by syllables and reading them with crrect stresses.
