    Prnunciatin: Listen and repeat.英语语音中的语调1. 疑问词wh、 which、 what、 hw、 when、 where、 why引导的特殊疑问句可以用降调也可以用升调,但含义是不同的。如:A: Jhn has a new English teacher. B: Wh?如果B用降调,A便会明白,B想知道谁是Jhn的新英语老师。而A的回答很可能是:Jhn的新英语老师是……然而,如果B用升调,A会知道,B对谁有一位新英语老师不清楚。而A做出的回答应是:我说的是Jhn。
    2. 陈述句一般读降调,用以陈述事实。若读升调,往往表示对所说事情的怀疑。如:She lent him her car. (↙)(用以陈述事实)She lent him her car?(↗)(表示怀疑,含有“Did she really lend her car t him?”之意。) 3. 问句不表示疑问的一种情况:当一方提出一个问题,而另一方用问句作为回答时,这个问句有时是不需要回答的,实际上相当于陈述句,但别有意味。如:A: Are yu ging t watch TV again?B: What else is there t d?(↗)
    B反问A一个问题“What else is there t d?”, 意思是: (除了看电视)还有什么好干的呢?有些一般疑问句也不需要回答,其功能也相当于陈述句,而且传递了说话人强烈的情绪。如:W: Haven’t yu gt anything better t d?(↗)M: OK, Mum. I’ll turn ff the TV and begin t d my hmewrk.显然,妈妈的意思是责备儿子不应该看电视,而应该做比看电视更有益的事——也就是说,妈妈认为儿子有更好的事可做。而对话中,儿子当然也明白妈妈的意思,因此说要关掉电视,开始做功课。
    听力技巧之判断说话人的态度在听力过程中要重点把握语气和语调,通过它们判断说话人的态度。如果是描述客观事实,语气通常是平缓的,没有太多起伏。如果语气较强烈,就有可能是在表达态度或观点。人们在兴奋、惊讶或心情激动时说话的语调往往高,而在相反的情况下,语调则低。提高声调代表质疑或者有不同的想法或观点,如果说话人用降调,又说得很慢,则说话人的态度即肯定或者强调。
    下面的两个表达是英语口语中经常用到的,你知道它们的含义吗?学习一下吧!①Hw cme?怎么会呢?(尤用于表示惊讶)eg: —I think yu we me sme mney. 我想你欠我一些钱。 —Hw cme? 怎么会呢?
    ②Yu’ve gt it. 你知道了!/你明白了! eg: —Yu mean he wn’t cme tmrrw?你的意思是他明天不会来?—Yeah, yu’ve gt it!是的,你说对了!
