展开1. The Students can describe the past.
2. Using the simple past tense. They were yung then. I was tw then.
3. The Students can grasp the new wrds and phrases.
4. Using the simple past tense f the irregular verb “be” t talk abut the past.

多媒体、图片、单词卡
教学过程:
Step 1: Warm up
1. Sing the sng
2. Review sme adjectives.
E.g: tall, shrt; fat, thin; big, small etc.
Have the Students make the sentences with the pictures. ( 为后面的课文教学做铺垫)
(二)探究新知Leading
1. Take ut a pht f my family.
Then intrduce it. “It’s ld. Because I was fur then. Lk, there are my parents. They were yung then. But nw they are ld.”
Pint t me and say “I was fat and shrt then. Nw yu can lk at me.” Then get the Students t lk at tday’s stry. ( 教师可以通过肢体语言及神情让学生领会这段英语的意思。)
2. Write the sentences n the bard. And mark “were, are, was, is”
╱They were yung then. ╱ I was fur then.
╲They are ld nw. ╲ Nw I am thirty.
Explain t the Students. We usually use “were, was” when it’s the past. And using “are, is” when we describe the present. (板书明确,再通过句式操练,学生更容易理解,并加深印象。)
3. Teach the wrds with the pictures. Then have the Students say the sentences with the wards. “Grandparents are grandma and grandpa.”
e.g: “Wh are they? They are my grandparents.”
4. Cmpare “nw” and “then”. Then say the sentences.
Teach “hair” with pinting t Students’ hair. Explain “Cute means very lvely”
5. Listen t the tape. Then have the Students act ut the stry in grups.
Step 3: Teacher-student interactin
1. Using the media. Have the Students lk at the pictures.
Then say the sentences with the present and the past tense. ( 教师运用多媒体课件教学,让学生感知语言内容,调动学生的视、听觉,参与学习中来。 )
2. D the exercises in part 4 and wrk in pair.
(四)作业布置
Tell the Students t bring a pht f themselves r their relatives t class.
The pht shuld shw them r their relatives when they were yung. Then have the students cme t the frnt t shw and talk abut their phts.
