Task: Students’ activities Teacher’s activities
Game: thrw the ball while asking and answering the questin. In grups, ne student thrws the ball and asks: What’s this in English? The ther ne answers it ,then thrw the ball again. D this game first as an example. T: Hw d yu spell it? “P-E-N-C-I-L”.

T: What’s this in English? (shw the Ss the baseball f the slide) Ss: It’s a baseball.
Ss read the wrds after the teacher ne by ne. Then the teacher shws the picture f 1a ne by ne, and ask them t say the wrds as quickly as pssible. Again the teacher says the wrds and the students respnd the letter marked n the respnding bjects.
III. Practice
Shw a baseball. T: Excuse me, what’s this? Ss: It’s a baseball.
T: Hw d yu spell it? Ss: B-A-S-E-B-A-L-L.
T: Is that yur baseball? Ss: N, it isn’t. It’s Tim’s baseball.
Ask the students t practice like this. Then ask the students t act them ut.
IV.Wrk n 2a
Get the students t lk at the pictures n P10 and listen t the cnversatins.
Number the things they hear. Check the answers.
V.Wrk n 2b
1. Get the students t listen again and write the things they in the chart.
2. Play the recrding. Cmpetitin between tw grups. Students listen and try t remember the cnversatin. Cnversatin1: fill in the blanks. Cnversatin 2: the teacher says the key wrds in ne sentence f this cnversatin. Students say the sentence as quickly as pssible.

2. Put these pieces in rder t make a message. Shw them n the screen. Pint ut the fur lines t the students. Explain that they are in the wrng rder. When they are in the right rder, they will make a clear message. Pint ut the number 1 in the first part f the message. Write numbers 2,3, and 4 in the bxes t cmplete the message.
3. Cmpetitin Give tw students sme pieces f paper. Tell them that they are in the wrng rder. When they are in the right rder, they will make a clear message. If yu knw hw t make them tgether, stick them n the bulletin bard.
